e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo Review

Hi everyone,

Recently e.l.f. brought out a new product in the form of their Bite Size Face Duos. These are very similar to the Bite Size Eyeshadow Palettes, but for your face. A little info on the Face Duos; there are 8 colors to choose from, they come in blush and highlighter or bronzer and highlighter, there is a mix of shimmer and matte shades, the colors in each duo compliment each other and the shade range is pretty big for only having 8 palettes. And one of these will run you $3.00.

This is what each palette looks like and for being bite size the pan size is decent.

IMG_6127

I bought one just to see how I liked it and I got mine in the shade Lychee.

IMG_6122

I really like this shade for blush, it’s a lightish pink and I’ve found that it’s very buildable. It’s been a long time since I’ve worn an e.l.f. blush and this one is very smooth and nicely pigmented. Initially I wasn’t sure what to think about the highlighter because this is my first experience with an e.l.f highlighter, but I do like it. This one is in a nice lighter gold that has a little bit of rosiness to it. It’s not the most pigmented highlighter ever, but it does build nicely and it’s very pretty when the light hits it.

IMG_6128

IMG_6123

I know that I won’t buy all of the other shades because I won’t use them, but I’ll buy at least one or two more. If you’re wanting a new face palette in general or you’re looking for one to pop in your handbag, I would recommend these.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you’ve purchased one of these let me know which and if you haven’t but are going to I’d love to know which one.

Until next time, have fun shopping and you can never have too many face palettes :).

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Mini Set Review Part Two

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with part two of Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Mini Set Review, I will link part one below if you haven’t read it. I wanted to first talk about the Huda Beauty Legit Lashes mascara. I got a sample of this when I placed the lipstick order and I tried it out today. First impression, I like it a lot more than I thought I would. I have pretty long lashes anyway, but the volume and length this gives is impressive. I highly recommend.

So the lip set I’m going to be talking about today is the Blushed Nudes. This like the Au Naturel Nudes has a plastic sleeve over it and Blushed Nudes is written in metallic pink.

IMG_6009

IMG_6010

IMG_6011

In this set you get four mini and this set focuses on nudes that have both warm and cool undertones. The first lipstick we have is Bombshell and I would describe this as a peachy nude.

IMG_6012

IMG_6013

IMG_6020

The next lipstick we have is Wifey. I would say that this is on that pinkish/very light brown line.

IMG_6018

IMG_6019

IMG_6023

The second to last lipstick we have is Muse. This is such a pretty color, it’s a deeper rose shade and this is a lip color you can tell is going to look so nice on.

IMG_6014

IMG_6015

IMG_6021

And the last liquid lipstick we have is Venus. This is the one lipstick in this kit that’s more on the brown side, but it’a nice medium brown.

IMG_6016

IMG_6017

IMG_6030

That about wraps it up for this post, I looked on the Huda Beauty website and there is a third lip set with all brown lipsticks so if that ever comes back in stock I’m going to purchase it.

Until next time, I’d love to know which of these lipstick shades is your favorite and you can never have too many liquid lipsticks :).

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Mini Set Review Part One

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! During National Lipstick Day a ton of different beauty brands were having great sales, so I had a little look around and found a few things I wanted from Huda Beauty. I ended up picking up two of their liquid matte mini sets, I also picked up a sample of the Legit Lashes mascara, and I’m going to be talking about them in two different posts.

This was my first time buying straight from the Huda Beauty website and I have to say I love their packaging. When I opened the box I was greeted with tissue paper with lips on it and the products themselves were in a bubble wrap envelope. The bubble wrap itself is in the shape of hearts which I’ve never seen before and I think it’s adorable.

IMG_5991

IMG_5992

So the set I’m going to talk about today is the Au Naturel Nudes. This has a plastic sleeve over it and Au Naturel Nudes is written in metallic rose gold.

IMG_5993

IMG_5994

IMG_5995

In these sets you get four minis and this set in particular is between peachy and brown, warmer nudes if you will, in shade range. I have a few of the Huda Beauty matte liquid lipsticks and I really like formulation, they have great staying power, they’re nicely pigmented and they don’t feel heavy on the lips. The first shade we have is Girlfriend. This is a deeper shade, somewhere between peach and brown.

IMG_5996

IMG_5997

IMG_6005

The next shade we have is Trendsetter. This is more of a true brown.

IMG_5998

IMG_5999

IMG_6006

The second to last lipstick we have is Sugar Mama. This is peachy in color and it’s what I would call more of a true peach.

IMG_6001

IMG_6002

IMG_6024

And the last liquid lipstick in this set is Bikini Babe. This is the lightest shade in the set and this is a really light nude. I have a two other liquid lips in shades similar to this and I really like it.

IMG_6003

IMG_6004

IMG_6008

That about wraps it up for this post, if any of you guys have this set or any of these lipsticks I’d love to know what your favorite shade is/what shade you have.

Until next time, have a good weekend and you can never have too many liquid lipsticks :).

Pur Cosmetics Festival 2.0 Palette First Impression And Review

Hi everyone,

Today I thought it would be fun to give a first impression and full review of a palette I received in my July BoxyCharm box, the Pur Cosmetics Festival 2.0 palette. When I did the BoxyCharm unboxing I included swatches of the palette but didn’t give any real opinion because I wanted to do this post. I’ve currently done two looks with the palette, I’m wearing it today, so I have some opinions.

The packaging is very different from the first festival palette, the first one is oranges, ferris wheels and very much Coachella. This one has silver swirls with a holographic shift and ‘festival 2.0’ is outlined in various colors.

IMG_5860

You get 12 shadows in this palette, 6 are shimmery/glittery shadows, 4 are mattes and there’s 2 satins. You get a nice size mirror as well.  When I first saw this palette I was immediately interested in it because I thought the color story was really versatile. You do have the bright shades and more out there colors, but there’s also some nice neutrals and transition shades. Like I mentioned, I’ve already done two looks with this, they’re vastly different from each other and just looking at it a few more instantly come to mind.

IMG_5861

Now for some swatches, I swatched on my arm and did them row by row as they appear in the palette. The first row starts with Euphoric, cream toned glitter. Then there’s Pure Bliss, a medium toned gold glitter. Next to that is Photo Op and that is a matte in a light orangey brown. The last shadow in the row is Dreamland, a matte peachy salmon shade.

IMG_5862

The second row starts with one of the satins, Turn It Up. This is a vibrant hot pink shade. Next to that is Insta-Worthy, this is a matte pinky brown. Then there’s Vibes, I think this is similar to Insta-Worthy but this a glitter and has more purple in it. The last shadow in this row is On Set which is a matte more chocolatey brown.

IMG_5863

The last row is the most colorful and it starts with Utopia, a lighter blue glitter with flecks of white and yellow glitter. Then there’s Electric, a deep blue glitter, based on the swatch alone, this might be my favorite shadow in the palette. Next to that is Fantasy World, the other satin, and this is magenta-ish in shade and the last shadow in the row is VIP Pass. I called this shadow complex and it really is, it’s a deeper green but it has gray undertones and flecks of silver glitter.

IMG_5864

When I was swatching these shadows what I gathered was that the mattes seemed really smooth and they went on really well. The glitters were really pigmented, caught the light nicely and didn’t seem to have any chunky glitter which can be a pain to deal with. Upon using them I found out that my first impressions were correct. All the shadows are pigmented, the mattes are buildable and blend out really nicely, the glitters are nice on the eyes. The color comes through and you get that pop when they catch the light. This is a palette I would recommend and I do recommend it because it’s just that good. This is a very versatile palette and I think for a 12 pan palette it’s well priced. I did a little research on the first Festival palette to see the difference between the two and I think it’s safe to say I’ll be placing an order for the Festival palette sometime soon.

That about wraps it up for this post, I will be doing a Recent Looks post about this palette so look out for that. If any of you guys have the Festival 2.0 palette I’d love to know what your favorite look is that you’ve done.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Spring 2020 Walmart Beauty Box Review

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with another unboxing, this time of the Spring 2020 Walmart Beauty Box. I always say that the Walmart Beauty Box is a little off with their timing and this box is no different. I got this on Friday so one day before the official start of summer. The theme for this month is Spring Beauty Sensations. The box itself is white with the Walmart logo in the center and that is made of lipstick swatches in various pinks and reds. Sometimes they will make the inside of the box a different color to more match the season, but this time it’s plain white inside.

IMG_5705

IMG_5706

So the first thing we have is the Suave Curl Defining Cream For Naturally Curly and Coily Hair. This is part of the Suave Professionals for Natural Hair collection. It has natural shea butter and pure coconut oil along with no parabens, dyes and is color safe. This is supposed to add shine, moisture and help bring your curls back to life while enhancing your natural curl pattern.

IMG_5707

The second product we have is the Biore Rose Quartz + Charcoal Daily Purifying Cleanser. This says that the charcoal deep cleans and the rose quartz radiates self love. Biore as far as I know is a well liked drugstore skincare brand and based on the research I did, people seem to really like this cleanser and how it made their skin feel.

IMG_5711

Moving on we have one of two things from the brand Hello. This is a charcoal infused, tapered bristle toothbrush, with bristles made from bamboo, that is natural and bpa free. I know a lot of people like the charcoal toothpastes and such, but personally I’m not the biggest fan. I think this is a cool idea though.

IMG_5709

The second item from Hello is an antiplaque + whitening, fluoride free, natural peppermint with tea tree and coconut oil toothpaste. I’m 50/50 about natural toothpastes and I have a whitening toothpaste that I really like, but I’ll give this one a try and see what I think.

IMG_5712

The second to last product we have is Natural Vitality Calm in Raspberry-Lemon. This is a magnesium supplement that you stir into cold or warm water and drink. It’s supposed to help balance your calcium intake and promote healthy magnesium levels along with helping you feel more relaxed and less stressed. I take my vitamins and things like that but I’m not really into things like this on this level. My mom is though, so I’ll give this to her and see if she likes it.

IMG_5708

And the last product we have is the Salon Perfect Design Nail Set. This is a set of fake nails with a grey marble and gold stripe pattern and an almond shape. In this kit you get 24 nails, a nail file and professional nail glue. I haven’t worn glue on fake nails in many years and I don’t typically pick this shape, but these are pretty cute and something I could have fun with.

IMG_5710

Overall I feel like this is one of the worst Walmart Beauty Boxes I’ve received, it almost feels like they forgot they had to do a box. There’s nothing in here that feels super springy and I feel like there was a few cases where they definitely didn’t look at my profile preferences. Hopefully the summer box will be better. If any of you guys are subscribed to the Walmart Beauty Box, I’m interested to know what you thought of your spring box.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what’s in the summer box :).

e.l.f. Bite Size Shadow Review Part Four

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with part four, the final part of my ‘Reviewing e.l.f. Bite Size palettes’ series. I will be linking the other parts down below if you haven’t read them. After not finding the four that I didn’t have in store, I ordered them and recently received them.

As a quick reminder, in total there are eight of these palettes, each has four shadows and they’re $3.00.

The first palette we have is Berry Bad. This is a mix of berry toned mattes and shimmers.

IMG_5668

These palettes all have a different layout, and this one is matte, shimmer, shimmer, matte. Like most of the other e.l.f. shadows, the shimmers are really pigmented, creamy and the mattes are super smooth and blend like a dream.

IMG_5669

The first shadow we have is a lighter matte pinky berry. Next to that is a deeper shimmer and it leans more towards the maroon side, but it has warm, golden undertones. Then there’s a more pink/red berry shimmer. The last shadow we have is a matte maroon and this didn’t swatch very well. It didn’t seem like it had the most pigmentation, but we’ll see what it’s like on the eye.

IMG_5676

The next palette we have is Pumpkin Pie, a mix of oranges and brown mattes and shimmers.

IMG_5670

The layout for this one is matte, shimmer, matte, shimmer.

IMG_5671

The first shadow we have is a deep matte orangey/brown and it made me laugh when I was swatching it because in the shadow you can see the yellow undertones and it made me think of how you can see the yellow in the pumpkin when you’re making pie. Next to that is a deep orange/bronze shimmer that’s super pretty. Then there’s a matte brown, but it’s that tone of brown that looks a little dull if you will, like a carob or wood color. And the last shadow is a light orange/gold shimmer.

IMG_5677

The third palette is Cream and Sugar and it’s an interesting palette. It goes from light to dark neutral mattes and shimmers.

IMG_5672

The layout for this palette is matte, shimmer, shimmer, matte.

IMG_5673

So the first shadow we have is a matte peachy/nude. Then there’s a white/cream shimmer that would make a great topper. Next to that is a medium toned gold shimmer and the last shadow is a deep matte chocolate brown.

IMG_5678

The last palette we have is Carnival Candy and this one is really unique in color. It of course is a mix of mattes and shimmers.

IMG_5674

The layout for this one is matte, matte, matte, shimmer.

IMG_5675

The first shadow we have is a matte peachy/nude. Then there’s a lighter matte brown with some maybe orange or yellow undertones. Next to that is a matte brick red and the last shadow is a blue shimmer that I would say is somewhere between azure and navy, it’s a very pretty shadow.

IMG_5679

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have a favorite Bite Size palette I’d love to know which it is.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Sephora Haul; Too Faced, KVD And More

Hi everyone,

Recently I placed a little Sephora order and because I just got everything delivered, I thought it would be the perfect time to go through it and show you what I bought with a little review thrown in.

The first thing I picked up is the Too Faced Pretty Rich Diamond Light Eyeshadow palette. I’ve been wanting this for a while, I think it’s a gorgeous palette and it was on sale, so it was the perfect time to get it.

IMG_5634

This palette is a diamond shape with 16 shadows and a cute little mirror on the top.

IMG_5635

Within these 16 shadows you get 4 gel pressed glitters and those are the ones that are shaped like diamonds. I really like the way this palette is laid out and the color story is quite nice.

IMG_5636

I swatched this on my arm row by row like it shows in the palette. The first row is more like lighter to medium neutrals. The first shadow we have is the glitter and it’s Diamonds For Breakfast. This is a silvery glitter with a little bit of red and brown glitter mixed in. Next to that is It’s Designer, a really light matte nude, then there’s Fancy That, a matte taupey shade. And the last shade in the row is Filthy Rich, a shimmery lighter brown with gold shimmer. I can tell this is going to be one of my go to shadows.

IMG_5637

The second row is all about pinks. The first shadow we have is Clutch Your Pearls. In the pan this looks like a nice white with maybe a little pink/purple, but when this hits the light it’s incredible. It has that duo chrome effect so when it is in the light you really see that pinky purple. It’s so pretty. Next to that is Princess Cut, this is a super pretty goldy/pink. It is on the lighter side but it does have some bigger glitter flecks in it that really pump up the shadow. Then there’s the glitter, Diamond Glitterati. This is a deeper pink and when I look at this it makes me think Barbie. The last shadow in this row is Highly Selective and that is a shimmery rose gold.

IMG_5638

The third row is golds and browns and starts with the glitter, Fluent In Diamonds. This is a medium gold and if you were wanting a straight up gold glitter, this would be the one to pick. Next to that is It’s Cashmere, a matte cashmere brown, this would be a great transition shade. Then there’s Don’t Carat All, which is a shimmery gold that is somewhere between light and medium, it doesn’t have as yellow of an undertone as Fluent In Diamonds. And the last shadow in this row is Oh, That’s Rich! and that is a deep chocolate matte brown.

IMG_5639

And the last row is the deeper shades, silvers, blues and black. The first shadow we have is Coal Under Pressure. This is what I would call somewhere between a medium and deep black, you can see a little bit of maybe blue when you swatch it and it has these big flecks of silver glitter. Next to that is Silver Spoon, which is deeper shimmery silver and it looks like it has some blue undertones as well. It’s unlike any other silver shadow I have. Then there’s Set The Jewel Tone, which is a shadow I’m super excited about. This is an absolutely gorgeous shimmery blue, it’s almost sapphire blue. And the last shadow in this row is the glitter, Diamond Life. This is going to be a great topper for a number of looks. It has a mix of white, blue, black and a darker silver glitter. It’s a very well thought out glitter in my opinion.

IMG_5640

I’m honestly so impressed with this palette, if these shadows are as good on the eye as they were in the swatches, then I can see this becoming one of my most used palettes.

The next thing I picked up is a KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Muneca. I have a few of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and they’re some of my favorites. The formulas are great and they have fantastic staying power. This one in particular is a peachy/salmony pink which is a shade I really like and it’s absolutely perfect for summer.

IMG_5632

IMG_5633

The last thing I want to talk about is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Mascara. I had been really wanting to try this out before committing to buy the full size or even the mini, and I was able to get one of the deluxe samples. I was initially excited to try this because I had been hearing good things and with this you do get a good size wand, but honestly, at least for me, it’s just alright. It’s not the worst mascara I’ve ever used but it’s certainly not the best. It just didn’t give me as much volume or length as I was hoping for.

IMG_5630

IMG_5631

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I’m super happy with everything and I can’t wait to use the palette and the lipstick.

Until next time, have fun shopping and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes, or liquid lipsticks :).

ShoeDazzle Haul

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I had a little shop on ShoeDazzle recently and now that everything had been delivered, I thought it would be a fun thing to have a look through. That being said, let’s get into it.

So I ended up ordering two pairs, one of which is a pair of boots. I will say that both these and the boots worried me when I first saw the boxes because they look a bit like they’ve been karate chopped, but both pairs are in perfect condition. The first one I found when I was looking for something fun and summery and they’re the You Got This Heeled Sandal in White. This shoe when I bought it at least, was available in a couple different colors/finishes. I went with white because I don’t actually have a white heeled sandal in my shoe closet and they’ll go with so many different outfits. I did try these on and have a little walk around, they fit great and are pretty comfortable. These have a platform and the heel itself is a bit high, but it’s a chunky heel so they feel quite sturdy.

IMG_5588

I really like that these have the silver zipper down the middle in addition to the silver buckles on the side.

IMG_5589

The second pair I picked up is the Moto Loco Buckled Stiletto Boot in Black. This boot does come in blue and white as well and this is from the ShoeDazzle x Erika Jayne collaboration. These are over the knee boots and I love a good over the knee boot. These have some nice stitched detail on the front and have gold hardware on the outside in the form of a gold zipper and gold buckles. One thing that I really appreciate is the fact that these have a little bit of tread on the bottom, even though I’ve been wearing heels for many years it’s always nice to have an extra bit of stability when you’re walking. Like with the sandals, I put these on and had a little walk around and they appear to be pretty comfortable as well.

IMG_5590

IMG_5591

That about wraps it up for this post, let know which of these is your favorite and if you’ve made a ShoeDazzle purchase recently I’d love to know what you bought.

Until next time, have fun shopping and you have never have too many pairs of shoes :).

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette Review

Hi everyone,

During the most recent BoxyCharm Pop Up I had a little look around and while I found quite a few things that I liked, I wanted to use this to try a brand I hadn’t tried before, so I picked up a Zoeva palette at a great price. The palette I bought is the Cocoa Blend palette.

IMG_5600

This is a 10 pan palette with a mostly brown/neutral shade range with a couple of pops of color. You get mattes, mattes with glitter, metallic and satin finishes. This palette was inspired by a box of chocolates and you can clearly see that theme throughout. When you open it the top says ‘Selected With Love, With Superb Ingredients, For The Taste Of Temptation’. The shade names are also box of chocolate inspired.

IMG_5601

IMG_5603

I swatched these on my arm and did two rows of five like the layout of the palette. I noticed when swatching that all of these are really nicely pigmented shadows. The metallics are creamy and the mattes and satins go on really smooth and aren’t powdery or chalky. So the first shadow, Bitter Start, is a light matte nude. Next to that is Sweeter End, and that’s what I would call a nice satin taupe. Then there’s Warm Notes, which is a sparkly pinky red that is almost berry like, a very pretty shadow. The second to last shadow in the first row is Subtle Blend and it’s a sparkly medium brown that has gold undertones. And the last shadow in the first row is Beans Are White, a matte black shadow. On my initial swatch you could see the gray in it and it appears to be very buildable without being too harsh.

IMG_5605

The second row starts with Pure Ganache. When I put this on my arm my reaction was ‘holy crap’ because it’s so, so pigmented, such a pretty coppery shade and when the light hits it it really shines. Next to that is Substitute For Love, a lighter brown in a satin finish. Then there’s Freshly Toasted, a matte rusty brown. The second to last shadow in this row is Infusion, which is very similar to Beans Are White, but this has multiple colors of glitter in it. And the last shadow is Delicate Acidity, this is a sparkly purple and you can tell it has a gray or maybe brownish undertone.

IMG_5606

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think this is a really great, versatile palette and I’m excited to try it out. If you guys have any recommendations for other Zoeva palettes I should try, please let me know.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Recently I’ve been wanting to expand the color range of my eyeshadow palette collection, so I had a little look around the Sephora website and came across the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes. While they all look incredible and I will definitely be going back and purchasing more, the first one I saw and the one I picked up is the Ruby Obsessions palette.

IMG_5565

This is a 9 pan palette with mattes, one shimmer and glitters. The is also a pretty nice mirror attached to this palette.

IMG_5566

I think I have two or three palettes in total that have one red or reddish shade in them, so seeing this palette was exciting to me because I do wear the reds I have and I like them quite a bit. I swatched this on my arm and I did the swatches row by row. The first shadow we have is a really light peachy/pink matte, the mattes are really smooth and the entire palette is very nicely pigmented. Next to that is a pinky/red glitter and a rose gold glitter. The glittery shades are quite smooth as well.

IMG_5567

The second row starts with a matte maroon. Next to that is an interesting shadow, it’s one of the glitters and in the pan it looks like it has purple undertones and in the swatch you can see the purple and red tones but it also has a bit of a duo chrome effect and you can see gold. I’m intrigued to see how that looks on the eye. The last shadow in this row is a glitter and it’s a really dark shadow, black undertones with purple glitter and when it hits the light it’s super pretty.

IMG_5568

The last row starts with the one shimmer I mentioned and it’s an orangey/red. There’s a shadow very similar to this in a e.l.f. palette I have that I’ve finally figured out how to make work for me, so I’m interested to see how this one looks on me. Next to that is a matte light peach that would be a great transition shade. And the last shadow is what I would call a matte raspberry.

IMG_5569

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think this is a great palette that I will get a lot of use out of and I can’t wait to wear these shadows.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).
