Spring 2020 Walmart Beauty Box Review

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with another unboxing, this time of the Spring 2020 Walmart Beauty Box. I always say that the Walmart Beauty Box is a little off with their timing and this box is no different. I got this on Friday so one day before the official start of summer. The theme for this month is Spring Beauty Sensations. The box itself is white with the Walmart logo in the center and that is made of lipstick swatches in various pinks and reds. Sometimes they will make the inside of the box a different color to more match the season, but this time it’s plain white inside.

So the first thing we have is the Suave Curl Defining Cream For Naturally Curly and Coily Hair. This is part of the Suave Professionals for Natural Hair collection. It has natural shea butter and pure coconut oil along with no parabens, dyes and is color safe. This is supposed to add shine, moisture and help bring your curls back to life while enhancing your natural curl pattern.

IMG_5707

The second product we have is the Biore Rose Quartz + Charcoal Daily Purifying Cleanser. This says that the charcoal deep cleans and the rose quartz radiates self love. Biore as far as I know is a well liked drugstore skincare brand and based on the research I did, people seem to really like this cleanser and how it made their skin feel.

IMG_5711

Moving on we have one of two things from the brand Hello. This is a charcoal infused, tapered bristle toothbrush, with bristles made from bamboo, that is natural and bpa free. I know a lot of people like the charcoal toothpastes and such, but personally I’m not the biggest fan. I think this is a cool idea though.

IMG_5709

The second item from Hello is an antiplaque + whitening, fluoride free, natural peppermint with tea tree and coconut oil toothpaste. I’m 50/50 about natural toothpastes and I have a whitening toothpaste that I really like, but I’ll give this one a try and see what I think.

IMG_5712

The second to last product we have is Natural Vitality Calm in Raspberry-Lemon. This is a magnesium supplement that you stir into cold or warm water and drink. It’s supposed to help balance your calcium intake and promote healthy magnesium levels along with helping you feel more relaxed and less stressed. I take my vitamins and things like that but I’m not really into things like this on this level. My mom is though, so I’ll give this to her and see if she likes it.

IMG_5708

And the last product we have is the Salon Perfect Design Nail Set. This is a set of fake nails with a grey marble and gold stripe pattern and an almond shape. In this kit you get 24 nails, a nail file and professional nail glue. I haven’t worn glue on fake nails in many years and I don’t typically pick this shape, but these are pretty cute and something I could have fun with.

IMG_5710

Overall I feel like this is one of the worst Walmart Beauty Boxes I’ve received, it almost feels like they forgot they had to do a box. There’s nothing in here that feels super springy and I feel like there was a few cases where they definitely didn’t look at my profile preferences. Hopefully the summer box will be better. If any of you guys are subscribed to the Walmart Beauty Box, I’m interested to know what you thought of your spring box.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what’s in the summer box :).

Blogmas Day Twelve: Christmas Nails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! I can’t believe it’s already the last day, it’s been more stressful this year I will admit, but it does feel like it’s flown by. And I will probably be doing it again next year. Today though, I’m going to be showing you the nails that I did this month. Every December I do festive nails and I find it to be a lot of fun, so let’s get into it.

The first week was a little strange because it was right after Thanksgiving and my Thanksgiving polish was still fresh but it kind of fit in so I left it.

SEPT1

What I used was the Sinful Colors, 2621, Nakey Nay and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat. Super simple but really pretty.

CHN1

The second manicure I did was in keeping with the simple theme and very wintery and it’s matte white nails. I did forget to take a picture, but what I used was the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails 110, Hard To Get and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.

CHN2

For the third manicure this was when I started to get more into the design and I did snowflake nails. But I did them differently than I normally would, so I did one big snowflake on my ring finger and on the rest of the nails I did a bunch of little snowflakes.

CHN5

To do this I used the Salon Perfect 207, Blue Ribbon, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen in 360, Pearly White and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN3

And the last manicure I did, the one I have on now, is present nails. I do this one every year because they’re super cute, very festive and easy to do.

CHN6

To do this, I used the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 485, Golden-I, Pure Ice 1626, Hit The Floor, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen 380, Red and Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN4

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys did festive nails this December I’d love to know what designs you chose.

Until next time, thanks you all for reading the 12 Days of Blogmas. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Twelve: Christmas Nails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! I can’t believe it’s already the last day, it’s truly flown by. I really enjoyed it and I’ll probably do it again next year. Today I’m going to be talking about and showing you guys the different nails that I this month. I do festive nails every December and I find it to be a lot of fun, so let’s get into it.

The first week was kind of fail on my part because I forgot, until I was taking the polish off, that I hadn’t taken a picture. But what I did because I wanted something simple to start off, was matte red. And what I used for that was Sinful Colors 852, GoGo Girl and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.

HD1

The second manicure I did was in keeping with the simple theme and it’s silver and gold. But I wanted it to be slightly different so I did matte silver and shiny gold. If I had a sparkly silver polish I probably would’ve used that because I do have a couple different sparkly golds. But I am happy with how these came out.

HD2

To do this I used p2 Techno Chrome polish in 010, Steel Drama and I topped that with the Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. The gold is Kokie NP45, Euphoria which is topped with the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

HD3

Week three I got into the more intricate designs and I went with Santa nails. I don’t do them every year but I think they’re really fun to do.

HD5

For this I did use one little brush to make sure the belt was relatively the same on all of them. And the polishes I used were Sinful Colors 852, GoGo Girl (red), LA Colors Color Last CNP31, Onyx (black), Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 485, Golden-I (gold) and on top Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

HD4

And the last one I did, the one I have on my nails now, is present nails. I really like this design and I’m pretty sure I do these every year but they’re always cute and they make me feel festive. Plus they’re super easy.

HD6

For this I used Pure Ice 1026, Hit The Floor (red), Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 485, Golden-I (gold), the bow is the Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art pen in 380, Red and I topped that with the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys did festive nails this December tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram because I’d love to see.

Until next time, thank you all reading the 12 Days of Blogmas, I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas :).

2018 Halloween playlist and festive nails

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be talking about my 2018 Halloween playlist. I did a post like this a few years ago, I will link it down below, and I thought it was about time that I updated it. It’s on Spotify so I will leave a link to it down below if you want to go and give it a listen.

The songs that were on it from years past were I Put A Spell On You, there are three versions, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Guy and Carlos Santana and my favorite of the three Joe Cocker. Monster Mash (Bobby Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers), Ghostbusters (Ray Parker Jr), Thriller (Michael Jackson), Werewolves Of London (Warren Zevon), Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Bat Out of Hell (Meat Loaf), Black Magic (Little Mix), Highway To Hell (AC/DC), Bad Moon Rising (Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Cajun Moon (Eric Clapton). This year I really took the time to look for songs that I not only like but that I would want to hear if I was at a Halloween party or on Halloween night. So I added the following songs, Hungry Like The Wolf (Duran Duran), Witchy Woman (Eagles), Voodoo Chile (Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood), Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Jimi Hendrix), Sympathy For The Devil (The Rolling Stones), Black Magic Woman (Santana), Runnin’ With The Devil (Van Halen), Evil Woman (ELO), Evil Woman- Live at Wembley (ELO) I included two versions of this song because sometimes a song is better live and I happen to really like this one live. The Time Warp (Richard O’Brien), Frankenstein (The Edgar Winter Group) and Hells Bells (AC/DC).

Because this post is slightly short and I don’t think I’m posting another Halloween post before the 31st, I’m going to show you guys the festive nails I did yesterday. Normally I go with a bloody nail look, but I wanted to branch out this year so I went with Frankenstein inspired nails. I do like how they came out, but I’m missing a detail brush so the scars are slightly bigger than I wanted them but you can tell what I’m going for.

HN1

For this I used LA Colors Color Last in CNP31 Onyx, Salon Perfect 502 Loopy Lime and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. I’m really liking mattes right now and I love the look of matte black nails so I’m really happy that I went with it.

HN2

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any more songs suggestions let me know and if you did Halloween nails tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram because I’d love to see.

Until next time, if you’re going to or hosting any parties have fun and I hope you all have a Happy Halloween! 🙂

Blogmas Day 23: Festive nail art

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day 23! I can’t believe it’s the second to last day, this has truly gone by so quickly. Today I’m going to be showing you guys my festive manicures from this month and how I achieved them.

I can say for sure that this year it was definitely more difficult for me to decide on the designs I wanted than in previous years, but ultimately I like what I came up with. For this first one I wanted to do something I hadn’t done before so I did Christmas lights.

CNA1

To do this I used Sinful Colors 101, Snow Me White for the base, for the string I used LA Colors Color Last in CNP31, Onyx and for the lights I used Sinful Colors 852, Gogo Girl, Salon Perfect 207, Blue Ribbon and Pure Ice 303CP, Free Spirit. And to top it off I used the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat and that’s the top coat I used for all of these manicures.

CNA5

The second manicure I did was snowflakes, but I didn’t want it to be the normal blue and white snowflakes that I do every year so I changed it up a bit.

CNA2

This one was simple, only two colors. The silver base is p2 Techno Chrome polish in 010, Steel Drama and the snowflakes themselves are the Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art pen, with a fine tip, in 380, Red.

For my second to last festive manicure I went with a Christmas tree with lights and garland.

CNA3

For this I used a Dermelect polish in Verdure as the base, for the garland I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 485, Golden-I and for the lights I used two Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art pens. One in 380, Red with a fine tip and the other in 360, Pearly White, also with a fine tip.

CNA7

And finally for my last festive manicure, the one I have on my nails now, a present.

CNA4

To do this I used Pure Ice 1026, Hit The Floor, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 485, Golden-I and for the ribbon on the present, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art pen, with a fine tip, in 380, Red.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always enjoy doing these posts so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, enjoy your festive manicures and Merry Christmas Eve Eve :).
