Recent Makeup Look-Easter 2020 Edition

Hi everyone,

Today I thought it would be fun to share with you the makeup look that I did for Easter and how I did it. For this look I wanted something fun with pastels and I’m really happy with the way it came out.

So the first thing I did for this look was prime my face using the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. This gives a great subtle glow under foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory. Next I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes and a few other places I wanted more coverage. And I topped that off with the KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-It translucent setting powder.

For the rest of my face I started with bronzer and used the Too Faced Extra Toasty, this is a lighter brown and it has a nice amount of pigment and it blends really nicely. I then used the Model Co blush in Peach Bellini, this has a little bit of shimmer and shine and isn’t too pink and I highlighted with the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter in Molten Rose Gold. This is such a beautiful highlighter, it’s the perfect shade and it has a great pop when the light hits it without it being over the top. This is probably my favorite drugstore highlighter.

For my eyes I didn’t have a real plan going into it but a few shadows stood out and I went for it. The first thing I did though was prime them with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance 24+ Hour Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette and put Fresh all over my lid as a base. Next I used Bloom, which is a matte pinky coral, from the Sultry palette and packed that into the crease and blended. From there I went into the big palette from the Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party and packed That’s My Jam, a berry toned purple, on the outer corner of my eye and a little bit into the crease to meet Bloom. On my lid I used I Love Yule, a really pretty pink with gold sparkles and I lightly dabbed Tinsel Town, an icy and sparkly purple/white, on top to bring all the colors together. Eyeliner wise I used and KVD Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped off the eyes with the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. On my lips I applied a Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Queen B, a very pretty mauvey purple and set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always love doing posts like this so look out for more in the future and I’d love to know what your Easter makeup look was.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many sparkly eyeshadows :).

Easter Treats

Hi everyone,

As Easter is this weekend I thought today would be a great day to share some fun and delicious Easter treats, let’s get into it.

The first treat we have is Easter Funfetti Cookies. These are super simple to make and so yummy.

What You Need:

  • 1 box of funfetti cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of oil
  • 1/3 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of Easter M&M’s
  • 2 tablespoons of multi colored nonpareils

What You Do:

  • The first things you’re going to do are preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Then in a large bowl add your cake mix, eggs and oil and mix for about 1 minute or until it’s well combined.
  • To your cake batter add in the white chocolate chips, M&M’s and nonpareils. Give that a good stir and make sure everything is well distributed.
  • Next take your cookie scoop, I recommend using a 1/1.5 inch scoop, and scoop out the dough. Place on your cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • If you want, I do this, press extra M&M’s and white chocolate chips into the cookie balls before baking.
  • Bake the cookies for 8-9 minutes or until the edges are just golden brown.
  • Once the cookies are done take them out and place them on a cooling rack completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next treat we have is No Bake Chocolate Coconut Nests. I love little things like this, I’ve made this many times over the years and it’s always a hit.

What You Need:

  • 24 Cadbury mini eggs
  • 3/4 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened coconut

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then you’re going to take your shredded coconut and spread it onto a baking sheet for toasting. Place in the oven for 5-10  minutes or until it’s lightly golden brown but make sure to keep and eye on it because coconut can burn quickly.
  • Once the coconut is toasted let it cool and while it’s cooling melt your chocolate chips. To melt the chips place them in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until it’s all melted and smooth.
  • In a large bowl add the coconut and melted chocolate and stir. Making sure everything is well coated and combined.
  • Then take a spoon and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture on to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and make into a nest shape. Fill the next with 2-3 mini eggs.
  • Let the nests set before eating, you can do this at room temperature or in the fridge.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last treat we have is Springtime Celebration Popcorn. I love popcorn and popcorn like this is great for every holiday.

What You Need:

  • 10 cups of popped popcorn
  • 3 tablespoons of salted sweet cream butter
  • 3 cups of mini marshmallows
  • Easter M&M’s
  • Easter sprinkles

What You Do:

  • The first step is to pop and salt the ten cups of popcorn. Once you’ve done that place it in a large bowl and set that aside.
  • Next take a medium sauce pan and to that add the 3 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter is melted add the mini marshmallows. Stir until the marshmallows are melted and turn off the heat once that has happened.
  • Pour about 3/4 of the marshmallow mixture over your popcorn and gently stir until all the popcorn is coated. Then pour the popcorn onto a parchment covered baking sheet and spread it out.
  • Then drizzle the rest of the marshmallow over the popcorn and add the candy and sprinkles.
  • Let the popcorn cool and place it in your preferred serving dish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last treat we have is Cadbury Easter Fudge. This is such an easy recipe and fudge is always a great holiday treat.

What You Need:

  • 1, 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips. You can use any chocolate you like, I prefer milk chocolate
  • 1, 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/3 cups of Cadbury mini eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take an 8 x 8 pan and line it with parchment paper and place 1/2 of your mini eggs in the bottom on the pan.
  • Then in a microwave safe bowl add in your chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave that for 2 1/2-3 minutes and stir until smooth.
  • To the chocolate mixture add the marshmallows and stir to evenly distribute.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan with the mini eggs on the bottom and smooth it out. To the top of that add the rest of the mini eggs.
  • Place in the fridge for 30-45 minutes or until set.
  • Cut into desired size and place on whatever dish you’re using.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any go to Easter treats I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun baking and I hope you have a happy Easter :).

Easter Cocktails

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! As Easter is quickly approaching, I thought that today would be the perfect day to share some fun and festive cocktails with you. These all have a strong candy theme to them, so that being said, let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Speckled Egg Mimosas. This is a very pretty cocktail and has a great mix of sweetness and freshness.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 8 blackberries
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 1 bag of speckled egg candy
  • 1 handful of edible flowers

What You Do:

  • So the first thing you’re going to do is grab a pot and add water, then bring that to a boil. Once your water is boiling add in your sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. When your sugar has dissolved add the blackberries and muddle. Simmer for 3-5 minutes then remove from heat.
  • Allow your syrup to cool and once it has strain into a pitcher.
  • Then grab your glasses and place 3 speckled eggs in the bottom of each glass. To that add one shot, or 2 ounces, of the blackberry simple syrup to each glass and fill the rest of the way with champagne.
  • Garnish with the edible flowers.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next cocktail we have is Cotton Candy Margaritas. Although cotton candy can be very sweet, this isn’t a drink that’s too sweet.

What You Need:

  • 3/4 cup of tequila
  • 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup of cream soda
  • 1/4 cup of orange liqueur
  • 1 package of cotton candy
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges

What You Do:

  • In a mason jar, combine your tequila, lime juice, cream soda and orange liqueur. Shake that very well, making sure it’s well combined.
  • Take your glasses and fill them about 3/4 of the way with cotton candy and pour the drink over until the glass is roughly half full.
  • Top that with ice and stir to combine.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is Blood Orange Mimosas. I love a good mimosa and this one is super fresh. This recipe does make a pitcher.

What You Need:

  • 10 to 12 blood oranges, juiced. This makes about 2 1/2 cups of juice
  • 1 bottle of chilled sparkling wine
  • 8 to 10 pieces of blood orange peel, twisted for garnish

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your blood orange juice and pour it in your pitcher. I would recommend doing this a couple hours before serving so you can keep it chilled in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
  • Then add in your chilled sparkling wine and stir combine. Pour into your glasses and top with your twisted blood orange peel.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The last cocktail we have is the Pink Jelly Bean. This cocktail is a really pretty color and super simple to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 ounce of vanilla vodka
  • 3 ounces of chilled ginger ale
  • 1 teaspoon of grenadine or maraschino cherry juice
  • Ice
  • Pink jelly beans

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your glass and fill it with ice. Then pour in the vodka, ginger ale and grenadine/cherry juice and stir to combine.
  • Then take 3 or 4 pink jelly beans and put then on a skewer. Place that in your drink to garnish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any favorite Easter cocktails I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun making drinks and I hope you all have a great Easter :).

St. Patrick’s Day Treats

Hi everyone,

As St. Patrick’s Day is on Tuesday, I thought today would be a good day to share some easy and delicious St. Patrick’s Day treats. Whether you’re having a party or just want to have something fun to eat on the day, these are perfect.

The first treat we have is Mint Oreo Truffles. I love little treats like this and they’re always super easy to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 package of mint Oreos
  • 1, 8 ounce package of cream cheese
  • White coating chocolate
  • Green coating chocolate
  • Green and white sprinkles

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is grab a baking sheet and line it with wax/parchment paper. Then take your mint Oreo’s and put them in the food processor, if you don’t have a food processor then you can crush them in a bag. And crush them into fine crumbs.
  • Next take a large bowl and to that add in your softened cream cheese. To that add your crushed Oreo’s and mix until well combined.
  • Roll the mixture into balls and place them on your prepared cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for at least an hour.
  • Then take your green and white coating chocolates and place them in separate, microwave safe bowls. Microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted.
  • Take your truffles and coat them in the chocolate. Cover immediately with sprinkles and let set.
  • Once the truffles are set place them on your serving dish of choice.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next treat we have is St. Patrick’s Day Crinkle Cookies. Cookies are a solid choice for any holiday and these take practically no time to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 10-12 drops of food coloring, depends on how green you want them
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Then you’re going to add the cake mix, eggs, oil and food coloring to a bowl and mix. Once they’re mixed roll the cookies into golf balls sized balls and coat with the powdered sugar.
  • Place the dough balls onto a cookie sheet and flatten just a little with a glass.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes or until the edges are slightly brown. Once the cookies are done take them out and place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last treat we have is St. Patrick’s Day Bark. I don’t make bark a lot, I buy it during Christmas, but this is a fun one if you have kids that want to get involved.

What You Need:

  • 2 cups of chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of mint M&M’s
  • 6 Oreo’s broken into pieces

What You Do:

  • The first step is to grab a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper. Then take your bittersweet chocolate and place it in a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 15 second increments, stirring after each increment, until it’s melted and smooth. Spread onto the baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Repeat the process for the milk and white chocolates but make sure you drizzle those over the bittersweet chocolate and don’t spread it on top.
  • Then take the mint M&M’s and the Oreo’s and sprinkle over the chocolate, making sure to gently press them in so they don’t fall off.
  • Let cool completely and once it’s set, break into large pieces.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last treat we have is a Boozy Triple Irish Trifle. Because it wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without something a little boozy.

What You Need:

  • 1 box of devil’s food cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups of Guinness, with a little extra to drizzle
  • 2, 8 ounce bars of softened cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup of Bailey’s
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 cups of whipped cream
  • 1 bag of baking caramels
  • 6 tablespoons of Jameson

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your 13×9 pan.
  • Then add your cake mix, oil, eggs and instead of the water use the Guinness. Mix until well combined then bake for 30-35 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick and it comes out clean.
  • Next make the cream filling. In a medium bowl add your softened cream cheese and mix until soft and creamy. Then add in the Bailey’s and powdered sugar. Once that is well combined, fold in the whipped cream by hand and set aside.
  • To make the caramel drizzle, take the bag of caramels and once you’ve unwrapped them put them in a medium pan with 3 tablespoons of Jameson and place that over low heat. Add in 2-3 more tablespoons of Jameson until you’ve got the consistency and taste you want.
  • Once your cake has cooled cut it into medium pieces and put in a bowl. Pour 1/4-1/2 cup of Guinness over the cake pieces and let it soak.
  • To assemble the trifle take a medium sized trifle dish and cover the bottom with cake pieces. Then do a layer of cream filling and drizzle with the caramel sauce. Continue this process until you get to the top. Then top with the rest of the whipped cream, a crumbled piece of cake and a caramel drizzle.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any favorite St. Patrick’s Day treats I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun baking and I hope you all have a happy St. Patrick’s Day :).

St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails

Hi everyone,

St. Patrick’s Day rapidly approaching and as someone who is Irish and usually has some sort of party, I’ve been thinking about menu planning and that includes cocktails. I will admit that Guinness isn’t my favorite, although I do like Guinness Blonde, so having fun and festive cocktail options is a must. These cocktails are just that, so let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Sparkling Green Sangria. I think sangria is great for most  occasions because it’s so versatile and this one sounds so good.

What You Need:

  • 2 bottles of Moscato
  • 3 ounces of triple sec
  • 2 sliced cucumbers
  • 2 cups of seedless green grapes, they can be sliced or whole
  • 1 sliced granny smith apple
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • 1 sliced lime
  • 1/2 liter of club soda

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is grab a bowl or pitcher, whichever you prefer, and to that add the wine, sliced cucumber, grapes, apple, lemon and lime.
  • Then you’re going to add in the triple sec and stir that gently. Once you’ve done that cover it and put in the fridge for 2-24 hours.
  • Once it’s out of the fridge top it with the club soda and give a stir.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next cocktail we have is the Green Whiskey Smash. It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without whiskey and I’ve never had a whiskey smash, so I might have to make this one.

What You Need:

  • 8 fresh mint leaves, plus a few more for garnish
  • 1/4 of a lime
  • 2 teaspoons of light agave nectar or simple syrup, it’s up to you
  • 2 ounces of Irish whiskey
  • Crushed ice

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take a cocktail shaker and to that add the mint leaves, lime wedges and agave/simple syrup. Take a muddler and mash about 4-5 times.
  • Once you’ve done that add in the whiskey and a little bit of crushed ice and shake well.
  • To your glass add crushed ice then pour on your drink and garnish with a few mint leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is the Lucky Shamrock. This is a great mix of sweet and sour. And this recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 1 1/2 ounces of tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces of sour apple liqueur
  • 1 ounce of lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce of agave
  • Sprite
  • Lime wedges and apple slices to garnish

What You Do:

  • The first step is to take a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Then add in the tequila, sour apple liqueur, lime juice and agave. Shake until well combined.
  • Then fill your glass with ice and pour the cocktail into the glass. Top with Sprite and garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of apple.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last cocktail we have is the Jameson Melon. This is a really unique cocktail and this recipe makes one.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 ounce of simple syrup
  • 1 ounce of Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 1 1/2 Midori melon liqueur
  • 2 ounces of tonic water
  • Sliced honeydew melon
  • A sprig of fresh mint
  • Ice

What You Do:

  • First, take your cocktail shaker and add in the simple syrup, Jameson, Midori, tonic water and ice. Stir that 30 seconds until well mixed.
  • Then take your glass and fill it with ice and strain the cocktail into it.
  • Garnish with two slices of honeydew and a sprig of fresh mint.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any favorite St. Patrick’s Day cocktails I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun making drinks and I hope you have a happy St. Patrick’s Day :).

Hi everyone,

Before we get into today’s post I want to say that today is the 12th and that means that it’s the 5 year anniversary of this blog! As always I’m incredibly grateful for all of the follows, reads, like, shares, comments, everything and here’s to many more in the future. On to today, as Valentine’s Day is on Friday, I thought today would be the perfect day to share some Valentine’s Day treats. Whether you’re having a party or just a chill night, these are perfect.

  • Next pour the red sugar crystals into a bowl and set to the side. Take your scoop and get about 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of the dough and drop that into the red sugar. Make sure the dough ball is evenly and completely coated.
  • Place the dough balls on the baking sheet a couple inches apart and bake them for 8-10 minutes.
  • Once the cookies come out of the oven immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

  • Then take 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and pour over the coated cereal making sure to evenly coat that.
  • Transfer to a baking sheet, spreading it out to cool completely.
  • You’re going to do the same thing with the other half of the cereal. Place it in the same bowl and set aside. This time take the pink coating chocolate and melt in the microwave in 30 second increments until melted and smooth and pour that over the cereal and stir until evenly coated.
  • Coat with the remaining powdered sugar and salt, transfer to a separate baking sheet to cool completely.
  • Once both are cooled, combine in a large bowl, add in the M&M’s and the cinnamon hearts and stir to combine.

  • Pour popcorn out onto a baking sheet to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these treats let me know how they turn out and if not I’d love to know what your favorite Valentine’s Day treats are.

Valentine’s Day Cocktails

Hi everyone,

As we’re in February and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner I thought it would be the perfect time to do my first Valentine’s Day food/drink post. We’re going to start with some fun and delicious cocktails, so let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Strawberry Bellinis. I think Bellinis are a great year round drink and they’re super easy to make. This recipe makes 2 drinks.

What You Need:

Cocktail:

  • 8 ounces of Prosecco
  • 4 ounces of strawberry syrup
  • Rim sugar
  • Strawberries to garnish, optional

Strawberry Syrup:

  • 1 pound of strawberries
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

What You Do:

Strawberry Syrup:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is hull and chop your strawberries. Once you’ve done that put them in a medium sized saucepan and add in the sugar and water.
  • Put the pan on medium heat and bring the mixture to a low boil. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the fruit starts to break down and make sure to stir the entire time.
  • Once your mixture is cooked strain it, making sure to discard all of the fruit solids. Then put it back on the stove to further reduce, to do that bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until it’s thickened up.
  • When you’re happy with the thickness of your syrup remove it from the heat and let cool. Then keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.

Bellinis:

  • The first thing that you’re going to do is chill your champagne glasses. Once your glasses are chilled it’s time to rim them. To do this you can use regular sugar or a flavored sugar like strawberry to bring it all together. Get the rims of the glasses wet then dip in the sugar, making sure they’re evenly coated and set them aside.
  • Take the strawberry syrup you made earlier and add 2 ounces to each glass.
  • Top the glasses with Prosecco and garnish with a strawberry.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second cocktail we have is Strawberry Rose Gin Fizz. I really don’t drink gin but this sounded like a really interesting drink, I may make this one just to try it out. And this recipe makes two drinks.

What You Need:

  • 6 strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 4 shots of gin
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup of club soda
  • Ice
  • Lime

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is wash, hull and chop your strawberries into small pieces.
  • Then take your sugar and sprinkle it over the top of the strawberries. Let that sit for about 5 minutes then mash up the strawberries with a fork.
  • Next, take your cocktail shaker and add ice. Then add in the strawberry mixture, gin, rose water and a little pinch of salt. Shake well and divide evenly between your two glasses.
  • Top off each glass with the club soda and a lime wedge.

  • Pour into your glass and top with the pomegranate seeds.

And the last cocktail we have is Cupid’s Pink Arrow. Valentine’s Day can be a really decadent holiday and this drink is really light and refreshing. This recipes makes 1 drink.

Blogmas Day Twelve: Christmas Nails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! I can’t believe it’s already the last day, it’s been more stressful this year I will admit, but it does feel like it’s flown by. And I will probably be doing it again next year. Today though, I’m going to be showing you the nails that I did this month. Every December I do festive nails and I find it to be a lot of fun, so let’s get into it.

The first week was a little strange because it was right after Thanksgiving and my Thanksgiving polish was still fresh but it kind of fit in so I left it.

SEPT1

What I used was the Sinful Colors, 2621, Nakey Nay and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat. Super simple but really pretty.

CHN1

The second manicure I did was in keeping with the simple theme and very wintery and it’s matte white nails. I did forget to take a picture, but what I used was the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails 110, Hard To Get and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.

CHN2

For the third manicure this was when I started to get more into the design and I did snowflake nails. But I did them differently than I normally would, so I did one big snowflake on my ring finger and on the rest of the nails I did a bunch of little snowflakes.

CHN5

To do this I used the Salon Perfect 207, Blue Ribbon, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen in 360, Pearly White and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN3

And the last manicure I did, the one I have on now, is present nails. I do this one every year because they’re super cute, very festive and easy to do.

CHN6

To do this, I used the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 485, Golden-I, Pure Ice 1626, Hit The Floor, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen 380, Red and Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN4

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys did festive nails this December I’d love to know what designs you chose.

Until next time, thanks you all for reading the 12 Days of Blogmas. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Seven: Christmas Day Activities

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Seven! Today I’m going to be talking about some of my favorite Christmas Day activities. I’ve mentioned this before, but on Christmas Day my family has a really chill day and it’s pretty much always been that way. I do my makeup on the more glam side, do a simple hairstyle and put on some cozy loungewear. We take our time opening presents and just enjoy ourselves.

After the present opening there’s a good amount of time before dinner and after everyone has messed with their presents it’s only natural to want to fill that time with something, so for us it’s always been games. As my siblings and I have gotten older the games have changed, but now we have our favorites.

One of my favorites is darts. This is a newer addition to the holidays but I think it’s one of the most fun. I highly recommend buying a dartboard if you don’t have one because it’s a great game and kids and adult alike can have a lot of fun with it.

Something I try to do at least once during the holiday season is put together a festive puzzle. I love puzzles always but especially during the holidays because it’s such a cozy thing to do. And the festive puzzles are so cute and have great pictures.

Ever since I was a little kid and I know before I was born, my parents would buy my siblings a new video game or video games. That tradition has continued on as we all have consoles and love to play games, there are some we play team up and play together and others only one of us will play. But on Christmas day one or multiple of us will open up a game and we’ll all play.

The last activity we have is dominoes. On Christmas night after dinner we all gather around and play dominoes. This is something we’ve been doing for years and all have a lot of fun with, especially because we’re all a little competitive with each other but there’s always so many laughs.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any games you play with your family on or during Christmas I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, enjoy your traditions and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Six: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Six! I can’t believe we’re already halfway through and that there’s only two weeks until Christmas. Today I’m going to be showing you guys what my Christmas day makeup is going to be. I like to decide what I’m going to do beforehand, so on the day I can just pop it on and have a chill day. For a while I’ve been doing gold eyes, but this year I wanted something different and this is what I came up with.

So, the first thing I did was moisturizer my face with the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this, it makes my face really soft and it gives me a nice glow that peeks through my foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory. After that I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes to brighten and in a few other places. And I topped that off with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.

CHM2

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was go in with my bronzer and for that I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Then I applied one of my favorite blushes, the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. And I topped it off with the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin.

CHM4

For my eyes, the first thing I did was use the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this is probably my favorite eyeshadow primer. Then I went in to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette and used Twig in the crease. It’s a really nice brown and I use it as a crease color for quite a few looks. Then I used the dark matte brown from the e.l.f. Eye Candy Eyeshadow Duo Set on the outer corner of my eye and I brought that in just a little. And on the rest of the lid I used the bright white shadow from that same e.l.f. duo. I then used the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and finished the look with the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara, it gives you lashes for days.

To top off the whole look I applied the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. This is a deep brick red and I love it. It’s a great red lipstick. And I locked it all in with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like to do posts like this so look out for more in the future. I’d also love to know what you guys do on Christmas. Do you go a little glam with your look, keep it simple or rock no makeup?

Until next time, have fun creating your looks and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).
