Limited Edition Halloween Walmart Beauty Box Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Today I have a different unboxing, a Halloween beauty box. I haven’t done a holiday beauty box unboxing before so when I saw this I knew I had to buy it. This box comes from Walmart Beauty and you may or may not know that after the spring Walmart Beauty Box they decided to take off the summer to revamp the box. So I guess this is the intro to that relaunch, although I did get an email a few days ago saying that this week I’m going to charged for the fall box, so the fall boxes are coming. This box in particular cost me $10.00, which is double the price of the normal WBB, and came with a little pamphlet that gave a description of each of the items. I got to choose between two, both had the same base items but one came with an eyeliner and the other with a lipstick. I chose the eyeliner option because I knew I would get more use out of it and I haven’t worn a drugstore eyeliner in years so I wanted to try one out.

The box itself is all white with a white Walmart logo on the top and it’s white on the inside as well. Because this is the Halloween box I was hoping for a pop of orange, black or purple or even some festive tissue paper.

The first item we have in this box is the Splat Hair Chalk in Midnight Blue. This is basically hair dye but not, you take pieces of hair, lightly spray with hair spray, open the color compact, close it around the hair and slide it down your hair. Depending on how dark you want the color to be you can go over the already colored pieces of hair. And to set it just spray more hair spray. I haven’t used anything like this since I was a kid, but it’s a quick and easy way to get color into your hair, the Splat Hair Chalks come in a variety of colors, and once you’re over the color it washes out easily.

IMG_6481

The next item we have is a Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelette. This is a single, but you can get this individually wrapped towelettes in a bag of 20. I always keep these on hand, the fact that they’re individually wrapped makes it easy to keep in your handbag, which I do, and I also really like these for taking off swatches because they get all the makeup off.

IMG_6483

Moving on we have a Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow quad. This is the product that confused me when I saw it. On the website and in the pamphlet it shows a purple quad, to me it looks like 510, Precocious, but what I actually received was 500, Addictive, a neutral/brown quad. If this is a Halloween box the purple makes perfect sense, but I’m not sure how you would get the same effect with neutrals/browns. I also haven’t worn Revlon eyeshadow since I was in junior high, so I couldn’t tell you now how these shadows are going to perform. Normally I would do some swatches, but I’m going to give this to someone and I want it to be fresh for them.

IMG_6484

Next up we have the Hard Candy Stroke of Gorgeous Liquid Eyeliner in 1807, Black To Basic. This is a matte eyeliner that says it’s easy to apply, mess free and dries down quickly. I’ve only tried Hard Candy lipsticks and nail polishes, so I’m interested to try this out and see how it performs. This has a nice tip on it and it seems like you could easily do thick or thin liner. I saw that this liner comes in different colors, so if I like it I might look into the other shades.

IMG_6488

IMG_6489

Moving on we have the Milani Strobelight Liquid Highlighter in 06, 24K Gold. When they say gold, they mean gold. I do like liquid highlighters and when I saw this I was interested because I haven’t tried one from Milani. I think for me this might be a little too gold, but the formula seems nice and when the light hits it it is quite pretty.

IMG_6491

IMG_6492

IMG_6500

The second to last item we have is the NYX Shout Loud Satin Lipstick in Red Haute. I’ve heard great things about the NYX Satin Lipsticks and based on the swatch I can see why. This is a really pretty shade of red and seems to be nicely pigmented. It claims to deliver up to four hours of hydration in one swipe, which I’ll be looking for when I wear it. All of the Shout Out Loud satins are infused with mango and shea butter and have a heart stamped into them which I think is adorable.

IMG_6493

IMG_6494

IMG_6495

IMG_6501

And the last item we have is a Sinful Colors nail polish. This is the second thing that I saw that confused me. On the website and in the pamphlet it shows what looks to be a deeper sparkly red polish, maybe Sugar Sugar, and that’s one of the things that drew me in. But the polish I got was 852, Gogo Girl. I do like this polish, in fact I own this polish and it’s on my nails right now. It’s a nice shade of red and like the other Sinful Colors polishes it wears well.

IMG_6499

IMG_6497

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think it was alright. I was disappointed by a few things, but I’m really interested to see what the revamped seasonal boxes look like.

Until next time, enjoy your products and have fun creating Halloween looks :).

October Favorites

Hi everyone,

Happy November and happy Friday! I’m a day late with this post, but today I’m going to be doing my October favorites. October was a busy month for me but I managed to get a good mix of favorites together. With that being said, let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have two favorites from my October Sephora Play Box and I’ll link that below for anyone that hasn’t read it. The first is the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. I have put this in a favorites before but it’s just so good. It has marine plant extracts, which really hydrate and give you a great base to work with. And it does a great job of locking in your makeup.

OCTSP5

My last Sephora Play favorite is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. This is the holy grail of setting sprays. This is very cooling and helps to lower the temperature of your makeup so it doesn’t melt. And once it dries your makeup is set for up to 16 hours. It’s just the best, I will always recommend this.

OCTSP6

My second to last beauty favorite is the makeup I did for a Halloween party I went to. I took to Pinterest to try and find a look that would fit perfectly with my costume and I ended up taking my favorite elements from a few different looks to make this. I’m very happy with the way it came out.

OCTF1

And my last beauty favorite is the Halloween makeup I did yesterday. I wanted something fun and wearable but with a little Halloween twist. So I came up with this and I’m super happy with it.

OCTF5

Moving on my next favorite is my costume from the Halloween party I went to. I don’t know if you could really tell from the first picture, but this year I was a flapper and it was a fun time.

OCTF2

My second to last favorite is pumpkin carving. I always love carving pumpkins and letting my creative side come out. Normally I go for a big pumpkin but this one was more on the medium sized side but it ended up being perfect.

OCTF3

OCTF4

OCTF6

And my last favorite is a music favorite and it’s Ringo Starr’s new album What’s My Name. I haven’t sat down and listened to every single song yet but I have heard most of them and it’s a solid album. Grow Old With Me absolutely makes me cry every time I listen to it, especially knowing the story behind it but I definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven’t yet.

That about wraps it up for this post. If we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great October :).

Halloween Treats

Hi everyone,

Today I’m back with the next part in my Halloween series. This time it’s fun and delicious Halloween treats. Whether you’re throwing a party or just want something themed to eat on the night, these are perfect.

The first treat we have is Dark Chocolate Halloween Chip Cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are great for every occasion and these literally scream Halloween when you look at them.

What You Need:

  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup of Hershey’s special dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup of packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 cup of Nestle Halloween baking chips
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter chips
  • 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of mini Reese’s Pieces baking candies

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you’ve done that line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Then, take a large bowl, and combine the butter and the sugars. Beat that until it’s light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes. Next add the eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
  • Next add in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix that on low and make sure everything is combined.
  • In another bowl add the Halloween chips, peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips and the mini Reese’s Pieces. Stir that gently so everything is evenly distributed. Then take that mixture and fold in about 1 3/4 cups of it into the dough. Set aside the rest of the chips.
  • Refrigerate your dough for about 30 minutes or as long as it takes for it to be set so it doesn’t fall apart when rolling.
  • Once it is set, take 2 tablespoons for each cookie and roll them into balls. Set the cookie balls 2 inches apart on your baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. You’re looking for the cookies to be just set.
  • After the cookies come out of the oven take the chips that you set aside and press into the tops of the cookies.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Next we have Halloween Muddy Buddies. I make muddy buddies for parties all the time and it’s always a crowd pleaser and takes hardly any time at all.

What You Need:

  • 9 cups of Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 boxes of Reese’s Pieces
  • 2 cups of pretzels
  • 2 bags of candy corn

What You Do:

  • The first step is to take a microwave safe bowl and in it add the butter, peanut butter and chocolate chips. Microwave that for 1 minute, stir then microwave again for 30 seconds and stir when it comes out.
  • To that add your vanilla, give a little stir and pour over the Chex. Mix that well and scoop into a Ziploc bag.
  • Add the powdered sugar to the bag and toss around to evenly coat everything.
  • Pour coated cereal into a large bowl and add in the Reese’s Pieces, pretzels and candy corn. Give that all a big stir.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last treat we have is Trick Or Treat Pretzels. I love mixing candy and pretzels, so this is perfect.

What You Need:

  • 10 ounces of small pretzel twists
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy Corn
  • Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • Mini Kit Kats
  • Mini M&M’s

What You Do:

  • First, take your baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Once you’ve done that, place the pretzels on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Then, in a medium bowl add the chocolate chips and the oil and microwave for about a minute. When I melt chocolate in the microwave I don’t always stir in increments, but you can if you want. But if you don’t make sure to keep an eye on it.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, drizzle it over the pretzels and top with the candy and sprinkles.
  • Let it set for an hour at room temperature. Then break apart.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last treat we have is Halloween Pumpkin Brownies. Brownies are one of  my favorite desserts and so easy to dress up for any holiday.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 of oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 package of brownie mix (You don’t have to use mix, you can make your own)
  • 1, 10 ounce, package of Halloween chips
  • Halloween sprinkles

What You Do:

  • First, preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Then line your 9×9 pan with foil or spray with a non stick cooking spray, whichever you prefer.
  • Next, in a large bowl whisk together the pumpkin, water, oil, eggs and pumpkin pie spice until it’s well blended. Add in the brownie mix and stir. Then add in 1/2 of the Halloween chips and stir until well combined. Pour that mixture into your prepared pan.
  • Add the rest of the Halloween chips and the sprinkles to the top of the brownies and put in the oven.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the edges pull away from the pan.
  • Once they’re out of the oven and cooled, cut the brownies into squares.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these treats let me know how they turn out and if you have any Halloween treats that you love I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun baking and enjoy your treats :).

Halloween Cocktails

Hi everyone,

As we’re into October and Halloween is fast approaching, I thought it would be a good time to do my first Halloween themed post. Halloween cocktails. I love a fun cocktail and these are just that. With that being said, let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is Witches Brew, this is super easy to make and will impress any guest. This recipe makes four drinks.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup of vodka
  • 1 cup of lemon lime soda, Sprite is my preference
  • 1/4 cup of raspberry liqueur
  • 1 fresh lime
  • 3 drops of purple food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • Crushed ice

What You Do:

  • So the first thing you’re going to do is rim the glasses. And for this you juice the lime onto a plate and mix the 3 drops of food coloring into the juice. Then on a second plate put your sugar. Dip your glasses into the lime juice, then into the sugar, making sure the rim is well coated and set aside.
  • Next take your cocktail, add ice and your vodka, lemon lime soda, and raspberry liqueur. Shake well.
  • Add crushed ice to your glasses then pour in your drink.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next cocktail we have is Walker Blood Sangria, name inspired by The Walking Dead. I like sangria for parties, I make it when I have them and I’ve watched The Walking Dead since the beginning so for me this was a no brainer.

What You Need:

  • 1 bottle of your favorite wine
  • 2 cups of pomegranate juice
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice or Cointreau
  • 2 cups of sparkling water
  • 2 cups of ice
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Orange slices

What You Do:

  • The first step is to get your pitcher, then pour in the wine, pomegranate juice and orange juice/Cointreau and mix well.
  • Put that in the fridge overnight.
  • When you remove the mixture from the fridge add the sparkling water, stir, add the ice and mix well.
  • Add pomegranate seeds and orange slices and give a stir.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is simply called Vampire’s Dream. I’ve had this before and while I’m personally not a huge rum drinker, I found this to be pretty balanced. And this recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 1 to 2 ounces of Spiced Rum
  • 3 ounces of pomegranate juice
  • 3 ounces of pineapple juice
  • A splash of grenadine

What You Do:

  • Take your cocktail shaker and add in the rum, pomegranate juice, pineapple juice and grenadine. Shake well.
  • Pour into a glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last cocktail we have is the Half Blood Prince. I’m a Harry Potter fan and when I saw this I knew I wanted to try it. This will probably end up being the drink I make on Halloween.

What You Need:

  • 1/4 cup of pomegranate juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces of bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce of raspberry liqueur
  • The juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup (you can use more or less, it’s up to you)
  • Pomegranate seeds to garnish

What You Do:

  • Take your cocktail shaker and add the pomegranate juice, bourbon, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice and maple syrup. Add in some ice and shake well.
  • Strain into your glass adding one ice cube and pomegranate seeds to garnish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these cocktails let me know how it turns out. And if you have any Halloween cocktail recommendations, I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, have fun making drinks and cheers witches :).

October favorites

Hi everyone,

Happy Halloween! Today as it’s the last day of the month I’m going to be doing my October favorites, and yes I’m listening to my Halloween playlist while I do this and I’ll link that down below for anyone that wants to have a listen. I have some fun favorites this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have one favorite from my October Sephora Play Box. I ended up getting it really late, so I haven’t had a lot of time to test things out. But I have been using one thing, I actually used it this morning, and it’s the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer. This primer has hyaluronic acid, marine plant and algae extracts and I can tell a difference with my skin. It feels softer and smoother and I’m really liking it. I will definitely be purchasing a full size version.

OSP4

My next beauty favorite is some lipsticks and not just any lipsticks, these are Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide lipsticks. I got a sample of three with a Sephora order and I really liked them so I ordered them and I’m looking at which ones to buy next. The three that I have are 202 Rose Flanelle, 309 L’ Interdit and 410 Rouge Suedine. I don’t have a picture wearing 309, but the next time I wear it I’ll post one to my social medias. These lipsticks are a velvet matte, they’re long lasting and the color payoff is great. I definitely recommend these.

OCF4

OCF5

My next favorite is baseball related, and speaking of which, I want to congratulate the Boston Red Sox on winning the World Series! They were stellar and it was so much fun to watch. But my baseball related favorite has to do with the Seattle Mariners. Towards the end of the season they always do a fan appreciation night and give away prizes and fun experiences. The Mariners team store also does giveaways and on Twitter they said that if you retweeted a certain tweet of theirs and followed them then you could win a Nelson Cruz jersey. I was already following them and I think contests like that are a bit of fun, so I retweeted and I was one of the five winners! I was really surprised and happy that I decided to do it. I love Nelson Cruz and the jersey is great, so it’s a win win.

OCF3

My second to last favorites are music favorites. The first is Eric Clapton’s new Christmas album Happy Xmas. I won’t go into it too much because I’m going to be doing a full review of it in December. But what I will say is that I wanted him to do a Christmas album for the longest time and I’m so happy that it finally happened. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more, definitely go and give it a listen.

My second music favorite is Take That’s new song Out Of Our Heads from their forthcoming album Odyssey. This song is really, really fun. It’s different but at the same time it’s very Take That. It’s very bouncy and old school, the work with the horns is fantastic. Like something you would hear in a club in the old days.

And my last favorite is Halloween. I like to do something fun with my makeup and today I tried something that I hadn’t done before and I’m not a makeup artist by any means but I’m really pleased with how it came out. And I always carve a pumpkin, which I did yesterday. I went for the more sinister/scary vibe and I think it turned out great and once I light it up I’ll be posting pictures to my social medias.

OCF2

OCF1

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were this month.

Until next time, I hope you all had a great October and Happy Halloween! 🙂

2018 Halloween playlist and festive nails

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be talking about my 2018 Halloween playlist. I did a post like this a few years ago, I will link it down below, and I thought it was about time that I updated it. It’s on Spotify so I will leave a link to it down below if you want to go and give it a listen.

The songs that were on it from years past were I Put A Spell On You, there are three versions, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buddy Guy and Carlos Santana and my favorite of the three Joe Cocker. Monster Mash (Bobby Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers), Ghostbusters (Ray Parker Jr), Thriller (Michael Jackson), Werewolves Of London (Warren Zevon), Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Bat Out of Hell (Meat Loaf), Black Magic (Little Mix), Highway To Hell (AC/DC), Bad Moon Rising (Creedence Clearwater Revival) and Cajun Moon (Eric Clapton). This year I really took the time to look for songs that I not only like but that I would want to hear if I was at a Halloween party or on Halloween night. So I added the following songs, Hungry Like The Wolf (Duran Duran), Witchy Woman (Eagles), Voodoo Chile (Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood), Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Jimi Hendrix), Sympathy For The Devil (The Rolling Stones), Black Magic Woman (Santana), Runnin’ With The Devil (Van Halen), Evil Woman (ELO), Evil Woman- Live at Wembley (ELO) I included two versions of this song because sometimes a song is better live and I happen to really like this one live. The Time Warp (Richard O’Brien), Frankenstein (The Edgar Winter Group) and Hells Bells (AC/DC).

Because this post is slightly short and I don’t think I’m posting another Halloween post before the 31st, I’m going to show you guys the festive nails I did yesterday. Normally I go with a bloody nail look, but I wanted to branch out this year so I went with Frankenstein inspired nails. I do like how they came out, but I’m missing a detail brush so the scars are slightly bigger than I wanted them but you can tell what I’m going for.

HN1

For this I used LA Colors Color Last in CNP31 Onyx, Salon Perfect 502 Loopy Lime and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat. I’m really liking mattes right now and I love the look of matte black nails so I’m really happy that I went with it.

HN2

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any more songs suggestions let me know and if you did Halloween nails tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram because I’d love to see.

Until next time, if you’re going to or hosting any parties have fun and I hope you all have a Happy Halloween! 🙂

Halloween drinks: non alcoholic edition

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing part two of my series of Halloween posts and it’s all about non alcoholic Halloween drinks. If you’re having a Halloween party or just want a cool drink for Halloween night these drinks are really fun and great for kids and those who don’t feel like having a cocktail.

The first drink is Polyjuice Potion Punch. I’m a Harry Potter fan and I think this is a really creative way to incorporate it into your Halloween fun.

What You Need:

  • A 1/2 gallon of Lime Sherbet
  • 2 liters of Sprite
  • A few drops of neon green food coloring

What You Do:

  • In a large punch bowl use a spoon or ice cream scoop and scoop the lime sherbet into the middle.
  • Then slowly pour in the 2 liters of Sprite, make sure to do this slowly as it will fizz and potentially run over.
  • And finally add the neon green food coloring, a few drops should do it, until it really pops.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Next we have Fanta Jack O’ Lantern Floats, these are super easy and so much fun. This recipe makes eight drinks.

What You Need:

  • 2 liters of Fanta Orange soda
  • 1 container of Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Clear plastic cups, decorated like jack o’ lanterns, this is optional and if you don’t want to go through the process of decorating cups I know they have plastic cups that already look like jack o’ lanterns
  • Orange or Halloween themed straws

What You Do:

  • Take one of the plastic cups and in the bottom pour a little bit of the Fanta.
  • Then to that add a scoop of the vanilla ice cream and pour more Fanta on top until it’s bubbly and float like.
  • Continue this process until you’ve made the desired amount of floats.
  • Add a straw, serve and enjoy!

The second to last drink we have is Hocus Pocus Halloween Punch. Hocus Pocus is a classic and my favorite Halloween movie, so I had to include this one. This recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 8 ounces of V8 Peach Mango
  • 6 ounces of Izze Peach
  • 1 scoop of Mango Sorbet
  • Halloween straws

What You Do:

  • In a glass, whatever you prefer, pour in the V8 Peach Mango then pour in the Izze Peach.
  • Top that off with the mango sorbet.
  • Add a Halloween straw, serve and enjoy!

And the last drink we have is Magic Potion Punch. This one I’ve made before and it’s honestly really fun and you get to be a bit of a scientist. This can be made in a large punch bowl, but this recipe is by cup.

What You Need:

  • 1/8 of a cup of Lemonade
  • 1/8 of a cup of Grape Juice
  • 3/4 of a cup of Lemon Lime Soda, I use Sprite
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered Grape JELL-O

What You Do:

  • In an 8 ounce cup add the lemonade and the grape juice. Then add in the Sprite and stir to combine.
  • To that add the powdered JELL-O and what will happen is it will start to bubble and fizz making it look like a magic potion. If it doesn’t fizz right away add a little bit more Sprite or whatever soda you’re using. It will make it fizz.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these drinks tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram.

Until next time, enjoy your drinks and if you guys have any other drink suggestions let me know! 🙂

Halloween cocktails

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing the first in a series of Halloween posts and it’s all about Halloween cocktails. Whether you’re having a party or you just want something fun to drink while handing out candy, these cocktails are perfect.

The first cocktail is Blood Orange Sangria and this recipe serves four to six.

What You Need:

  • 6 blood oranges
  • 2 750 ML bottles of Pinot Grigio
  • 1 cup of Club Soda
  • 1/2 cup of Brandy
  • 12 ounces of strawberries sliced
  • 1 pint of raspberries
  • 1 chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup of sugar to rim the glasses

What You Do:

  • Take one blood orange and zest it, then in a small bowl combine the sugar and the orange zest. Rub it together with your fingers until the orange zest is fragrant.
  • Then take four of the blood oranges and juice them, discarding any seeds. And cut the remaining blood oranges into pieces.
  • In a large pitcher pour in the blood orange juice, wine, brandy, club soda, apples, strawberries, raspberries and blood oranges and stir until well combined.
  • Take the orange zest sugar and place it on a plate. Get your glasses and run an orange, lemon or lime around the rim of each glass and dunk them in the sugar, making sure you coat them well.
  • Fill each of the glasses with a couple of ice cubes, pour the sangria and added some fruit from the pitcher to top it off.
  • Serve and enjoy!
  • This can be made overnight or ahead of time because it definitely gets better the longer the flavors can combine.

The second cocktail we have is Pumpkin Pie Shots. This recipe is super easy and makes four shots.

What You Need:

  • 2 ounces of Caramel Vodka
  • 2 ounces of Pumpkin Spice liquor
  • 2 ounces of Rumchata
  • Sugar to rim the glasses, but this is optional

What You Do:

  • Pour the Caramel Vodka, Pumpkin Spice liquor and Rumchata in a cocktail shaker and shake until well combined.
  • If you want to rim the glasses, dip them in corn syrup then dunk in a shallow dish with colored sugar.
  • Pour evenly into the four glasses serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is a Ghost-tini, this is on the sweet/rich side. And this recipe makes three to four cocktails.

What You Need:

  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 packet of Sweet’N Low
  • 4 ounces of Whipped Cream Vodka. You can also use Vanilla or White Chocolate if you prefer them
  • 4 ounces of Rumchata
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 6 Lindor White Chocolate Truffles
  • Candy eyes and lollipop sticks

What You Do:

  • Roughly chop the White Chocolate Truffles and add them to a small saucepan with the heavy cream and the Sweet ‘N Low. Stir over low heat until the chocolate is melted, smooth and everything is well combined. Remove it from the heat and set aside.
  • Once the white chocolate mixture has cooled, put it in the blender and add the vodka, Rumchata and ice. Blend that until the ice is completely broken up and it’s all well combined.
  • Take the lollipop sticks and carefully put it through candy eyes, making sure they’re in the middle of the stick.
  • Pour the martini into the glasses and top with the candy eyes on a stick.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last cocktail we have is the Purple Potion and this recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 2 ounces of Vodka
  • 2 ounces of Coconut Juice
  • 5 ounces of Pomegranate Italian Soda
  • 5 ounces of Pineapple Juice
  • Purple food coloring, this is optional
  • Dry Ice

What You Do:

  • In a tall glass combine the vodka, coconut juice, pomegranate Italian soda and pineapple juice.
  • If the purple color isn’t exactly where you want it, add a drop of the food coloring.
  • To make it really potion like, add one small cube of dry ice and make sure you use tongs. Don’t drink until the dry ice has dissipated and be sure to make guests aware of this as well.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these drinks tweet me a picture or tag me on Instagram and if you have any drink suggestions of your own let me know.

Until next time, have fun at your parties and enjoy your drinks :).

October favorites

Hi everyone,

First off I want to say happy November. I can’t believe this year has gone by so fast, but as it is the first of the month I thought it would be a good time to do my October favorites. Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my October Glam Bag. If you haven’t yet read that post I will link it down below. The first is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I’ve been using this everyday since I got it and I absolutely love it. I don’t have particularly dry skin, but it is getting colder and the cold can be harsh on your skin and this is the perfect thing to combat that. I definitely recommend it.

OGB2

My next favorite is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. This is one of my favorite pencil liners that I’ve used. It glides on smooth and once it’s on it doesn’t smudge. However, I am the type that if I’m going to mess up my liner it’s going to be with a pencil opposed to a liquid, so if you do happen to mess this up or smudge while applying it can get a little messy. And definitely don’t be like me and try to do eyeliner in the car. But besides that, I love it.

OGB3

Next up we have the MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro. I can’t express how much I love this lipstick. I absolutely love the color and the formulation and staying power are amazing. It’s a very well made product and I want to wear all of the MDMflow lipsticks. Definitely check them out.

And here’s a picture of me wearing the Urban Decay liner and this MDMflow lipstick.

And my last favorite is a Pretty Woman NYC nail polish in the shade Wine With Ice, Garçon. I’ve mentioned how much I love the Pretty Woman NYC nail polishes, they last and the formulation is really nice. And this one in particular, it being a deep wine color, is the perfect shade for fall.

OF10

Moving on, I have a food favorite. And it’s the Yoplait French style Oui yogurt. These yogurts are thick, creamy and only made with a few ingredients and I really like them. They come in these little glass pots and I think they’re the perfect size. There are a couple of different flavors, but my favorites are the Vanilla, Black Cherry and Lemon.

OF1

My second to last favorite is Halloween. Halloween kicks off the holiday season and it’s always been one of my favorites. I love to dress up and be festive. I went to a Halloween party like I do every year and I honestly changed my mind on my costume like four times, but I ended up going as a cowgirl and I had a lot of fun.

OF2

OF3

OF4

It is worth noting that my lipstick is the Too Faced Melted Matte lipstick in Lady Balls, it’s one of my favorite red lipsticks, and my boots are from Just Fab.

I also carved a pumpkin because you can’t have Halloween without pumpkins and I went with a bat design this year.

OF6

OF7

OF8

And my last favorite is a music favorite. And it’s two songs from Eric Clapton’s Behind The Sun album. Behind The Sun has always been an album that I liked and it has some fantastic songs on it. The first is It All Depends and the second is Something’s Happening. These two songs are so different but they’re both amazing and if you haven’t heard them or any other songs from the album definitely give them a listen. It’s so worth it.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites in October let me know and if not I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope everyone had a great October :).

Easy Halloween treats and drinks

Hi everyone,

Halloween is fast approaching, so I thought today I would share a couple of my favorite simple and easy food and drink favorites. Whether you’re going to/ hosting a party or just want something fun to have on Halloween while you’re handing out candy, these recipes tick all the boxes.

First we have a guaranteed hit at parties, Pumpkin Pie Dip:

What you need:

12 ounces of cream cheese

2 cups of powdered sugar

1 cup of canned pumpkin

1 teaspoon of ground ginger

1 teaspoon of cinnamon or pumpkin spice

2 cups of whipped topping

What you do:

Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Then add the pumpkin and spices and stir until combined.

Fold in the whipped topping, gently, make sure it’s well combined and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serve with graham crackers and your favorite fruits.

Next we have one of my all time favorites, Deviled Eggs with Bacon and Olive Spiders. I’ve made this for Halloween parties in the past, I’m actually making them for a party this weekend and they pretty much are gone the minute the platter hits the table so I always make sure to use 18 eggs opposed to 12, but if you’re hosting a smaller party 12 will be plenty.

What you need:

12 eggs

Mayonnaise

Yellow Mustard

Olives

Salt

Pepper

Paprika

What you do:

Hard boil the eggs, I do 5 minutes on high heat, then 25 minutes on medium heat. Once the eggs are done, remove them from the heat, dump out the hot water and cool them in cold water. When the eggs have cooled down you can start peeling them or stick them in the fridge for a little while before peeling. It’s up to you.

After peeling the eggs, cut them in half and carefully scoop out the yolk. Be sure to do this carefully otherwise the egg will tear and it will be difficult to get the filling back in.

Combine the yolks with the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, salt and pepper and mix until well combined and mixture is smooth.

Fill the eggs with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika.

Cut the olives in half, take one half and put it on top of the egg, take the other half and cut into strips, putting four on each side.

Serve and enjoy

The third treat is great for the kids, or anyone that wants a little fun without the alcohol, although you could add alcohol to these if you wanted. And they are floats, specifically Lime and Orange Sherbet Floats.

What you need:

Lime:

One container of Lime Sherbet, any brand

One bottle of Lemon Lime soda, any brand

Orange:

One container of Orange sherbet, any brand

One bottle of Orange soda, any brand

What you do:

Mix the sherbet and the soda. You can do them individually or in a punch bowl. And to make them even more festive, top them with gummy worms, gummy eye balls or any gummy body parts you can find and enjoy.

My last two are strictly for the adults. Halloween cocktails. I searched through many different and delicious looking/ sounding recipes, but I found two that are simple and sound amazing.

The first is the Poisoned Apple martini.

What you need:

2 ounces of apple cider

1 ounce of pomegranate juice

2 ounces of tequila

Ice

Dry Ice

What you do:

Combine ingredients with ice in martini shaker. Shake to mix and strain into chilled martini glass.

Add dry ice before serving. You don’t have to add the dry ice, although it does give a spooky effect. But if you do go with the dry ice make sure you use small ice chips to avoid the possibility of your guests getting frostbite. This recipe makes one cocktail.

The next drink is the Black Widow cocktail.

What you need:

1/2 ounce of strawberry vodka

1/2 ounce of white rum

1/2 ounce of triple sec

3 ounces of cranberry juice

Ice

What you do:

Combine the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake to mix and pour into martini glass.

For extra spook and to bring home the black widow theme, top with a plastic spider and enjoy. This recipe also makes one cocktail.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any fun Halloween recipes let me know and if you make any of these tweet me a pic or tag me on Instagram. My links will be below.

Until next time, if you’re going to any parties have fun and I hope you all have a happy Halloween :).
