Tarte Fall Feels Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Today we’re back with another palette review and this time it’s of the Tarte Fall Feels Eye & Cheek Palette. I saw looking through the Sephora website recently, to see if they had any good fall-like palettes and I came across this one.

I normally wouldn’t show the outer packaging of a palette, but this box was too cute not to. The gold with the pink and the black and white really does give the fall vibes without being stereotypical fall. It’s a nice touch.

IMG_9260

The palette itself is one of the cutest I’ve seen in a while. It’s a pink and black flannel with a yellow stripe, and the best part, is it’s actually fuzzy. I love that they did this, it’s super cute and is the definition of fall feels.

IMG_9261

You do get a mirror with this palette, it’s a little round mirror that says ‘Tarte’ on the bottom. You might be able to see in this picture, and you’ll definitely be able to see in the next picture, that the flannel pattern runs inside as well with the shinier black on top of the matte black.

IMG_9262

So this palette is an 8 pan palette, 7 of those are eyeshadows and 1 is a blush. This palette has Amazonian Clay like a lot of Tarte products do for longer, truer and better wear, mineral pigments to soften and soothe skin and it has a light chocolate scent. This palette is also cruelty free, gluten free and has no parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or triclosan.

IMG_9263

The blush is in the shade Fall Feels and it’s a lighter pinky nude shade. It’s a little bit lighter than I usually go for, but I built it up for the picture and when it’s built up I like it a lot more.

IMG_9264

On to the shadows, the first shadow we have is Homecoming, which is a light matte cream. Next to that is Hayride, which is a matte warm tan. Then there’s Corn Maze, a really nice gold shimmer and the last shade on the top is Pumpkin Patch, a deep copper shimmer.

IMG_9265

Moving to the bottom, the first shade we have is Apple Picking, a red shimmer. Next to that is Sippin’ Cider which is a darker, forest green shimmer and the last shadow we have is Tailgate, which is a navy blue shimmer.

IMG_9266

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think this is a great little palette and there is a lot of versatility. From the swatches I can tell you that the mattes are really smooth, the shimmers are nicely pigmented and pretty creamy. I will be doing a Three Recent Looks post with this palette, so look out for that.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Three Recent Looks, Dito Cosmetics Venus Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite posts for you, a Three Recent Looks. This time with the Dito Cosmetics Venus Palette. I got this palette in my BoxyCharm box last month and instantly liked it when I saw it. I’m a huge space nerd and this appeals to that side of me.

IMG_9035

You get a good size mirror with this palette, which is always a plus and it’s actually a really good mirror for a palette.

IMG_9036

This is a 12 pan palette with 5 different finishes, there’s matte, shimmery, creamy, ultra shiny glitter and shimmer with sparkle. Because this palette was inspired by Venus there is a bit of diversity with the color range, so you do get the option to create some fun and different looks.

IMG_9037

So for the first look I wanted to do something with the golds in the palette and I’m really happy with how it came out. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face, I first bronzed using the Nars bronzer in Laguna. I used the blush from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee and highlighted using the Touch In Sol Glowdient Palette and mixing together the first two shades.

IMG_9216

IMG_9222

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I moved into the Venus Palette and first applied Phobos in the crease. Because I wanted a darker brown on the outer corner I went into the ColourPop Limoncello Palette, took the shade Vespa and packed that onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it up into the crease just a little. For the rest of my lid I applied Jupiter and for a little extra glitter, dabbed a little bit of Deimos. I then brought Vespa under my eye about three quarters of the way and for the rest and into the inner corner of my eye I applied Jupiter. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I wanted a lighter brown for my lips, so I first lined them with the Vintage Cosmetics by Jessica Liebeskind Cashmere Lip Pencil in Mocha and filled them in with the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

IMG_9217

IMG_9223

IMG_9139

IMG_9141

For my second look I really wanted to play with the fun colors and do something the pinky shades and purples. The first thing I did was prime my face with the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was bronze using the Too Faced Extra Toasty bronzer. I then applied the Too Faced Daydreamer blush and highlighted with the Touch In Sol Glowdient Palette, using a mix of the first and third shades.

IMG_9218

IMG_9224

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Cosmetics Eyeshadow Primer. Because I wanted a berry shade in the crease, I went into the Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette and first used the darker shade (first shadow in the middle row) and to lighten it up just a bit, blended that with the lighter berry shade (last shadow in the third row). Then I went into the Venus Palette and because I wanted a purple shade, took Europa and packed it onto the outer corner of my eye, blending it up into the crease just a little bit. For the rest of my lid I applied Kallisto and topped it with Venus, which is such a gorgeous topper. I brought Europa under my eye about halfway and the rest of the way and into the inner corner of my eye I applied Kallisto mixed with Venus. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. I wanted a lighter lip with this look, so I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Nude Lip Liner and filled them in with the KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Muneca. And I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9219

IMG_9225

IMG_9154

I did the third look when it was a colder, more fall like day, so I went for the orangey/brown fall vibes. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and I set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

IMG_9215

For the rest of my face I used the Ofra Mini Mix Face Palette in Good To Go. The bronzer is in the shade Current, the blush in the shade Intentions and the highlighter, which I used the top, bottom and shade on the left side, is in the shade All Of The Lights. It’s such a great and versatile palette.

IMG_9220

IMG_9226

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. I then went into the Venus Palette and first used Mercury in the crease, it’s a nude shade, but I wanted to bring a little brightness. I then took Phobos and packed it onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the crease just a little. It was looking a little light at that point, so I mixed in just a bit of Vespa from the ColourPop Limoncello Palette. For the rest of my eye I applied Mars topped with a dab of Moon. Looking at it you might wonder why I used Moon because it is a pinker shade, but it has some gold flecks in it that really come through if you have a light hand and it added a lot to the look. I then brought the Phobos/Vespa mix under my eye about half way and for the other half and into the inner corner of my eye applied the Mars/Moon combo. I lined my eyes with the BellaPierre Cosmetics Liquid Liner in Black and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. I wanted a lighter nudey/brown lip so I first lined my lips with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Nude Lip Liner and filled them in with the Sophia + Mabelle Hydrating Hybrid Lipstick in Topless. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

IMG_9221

IMG_9227

IMG_9169

That about wraps it up for this post, I really do like this palette, I think it’s a lot of fun and the shades are pigmented, blend well and you get a nice color payoff. I know that Dito Cosmetics has themed palettes similar to this one, so I’m definitely going to look at those. Like I said, I really like doing these posts so look out for more in the future.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

August Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the last day of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my August favorites. I have a pretty good mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my August BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that post I’ll link it down below. My first Boxy favorite is the Vitamasques Glow Juicy Berries Face Mask. I love a good sheet mask and this is exactly that. It probiotic and adaptogenic with Vitamin C, Niacinamide and a Super Berry Complex that has blackberry and raspberry to brighten the skin and improve uneven skin tone. I did feel like this brightened my skin and I would repurchase. This came in a set with another mask, which after this I can’t wait to use. I definitely recommend Vitamasques if you’re in the market for good face masks.

IMG_9031

My next beauty favorite is the Voilition Beauty Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil. This is an oil that redeuces the appearance of dark spots and discoloration, soothes the appearance of stressed skin, hydrates and helps to improve moisture retention and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I have a couple little dark spots from acne scars so I started using this right after I got it and it does seem to be helping. One of them has completely gone away and I can definitely tell that the others are lightening. This comes with a little dropper applicator, so you don’t get too much coming out and you do get 35 ml/1.1 oz, so there’s a decent amount. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a face oil.

IMG_9033

And my last beauty favorite is the Dito Cosmetics Limited Edition Venus 12 Shade Eyeshadow Palette. I was really excited when I saw this palette because I’m a big space nerd and obviously I love makeup, so it’s the perfect combination. I’m currently working on a ‘3 Recent Looks’ with this palette, so I won’t say too much about it or give too many opinions, but I am liking it. It’s a really fun palette.

IMG_9035

IMG_9037

Moving on to a random favorite, I’m really loving the weather right now. We’re at the end of summer right now so it’s not as hot, but this week we’ve had some colder and definitely more fall-like days and I’m all for it. I also love that we’re seeing the seasonal foods, beauty/skincare, decor and clothes start to pop up.

And my last favorite is a music favorite, well actually, multiple music favorites. So many of my favorite bands/musicians have new music out right now and it’s a good time. The Doobie Brothers have four new songs out currently, and their newest album, which I have preordered and I preordered a physical copy, is coming out in October, so I’m very excited for that. I really like the four songs they have out now, so if the whole album is like that it’s going to be fantastic. Joe Bonamassa also has another new song out, the second single from his upcoming album, and I like it a lot. I like it more than the first single, and this one is more blues forward which, in my opinion, is what he does best even though he absolutely gets away with genre bending and blending. I absolutely recommend giving all these songs a listen if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we had any of the same favorites this month let me know and if not I’d love to know what your August favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great August :).

August BoxyCharm Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received my August BoxyCharm box and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme this month is Go All Out, basically embrace the summer, enjoy it and do all the things.

IMG_9029

So the first product we have is actually two, and it’s Vitamasques Face Masks. The first is a Glow Juicy Berries mask that is a natural probiotic and adaptogenic sheet mask with Vitamin C, Niacinamide and a Super Berry Complex that has raspberry and blackberry to brighten and improve uneven skin tone. The second is a Nourish Flower Nectar mask that is a natural probiotic and adaptogenic sheet mask with Multi-Peptides, Ceramides and Flower Extracts including Cherry Blossom, Hibiscus and Orange Blossom to nourish and repair the skin. Both of these masks are vegan, animal cruelty free and have allergen free fragrance. The masks themselves are biodegradable and come in eco-pouches. I love a good sheet mask, and these sound nice, so I’m excited to try them out.

IMG_9031

Next we have the Volition Beauty Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil. So this is an oil that is supposed to reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration, soothe the appearance of stressed skin, hydrate and help improve moisture retention and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hibiscus is in a lot of skincare right now, it’s supposed to be incredible for your skin and have a ton of benefits, and I like the sound of this oil, so I’m interested to try it out.

IMG_9033

Moving on we have the Purlisse Ageless Glow Serum BB Cream with SPF 40 in Light Medium. This is a serum infused beauty balm that has Bakuchoil, Algae Collagen and Vitamin C to firm, brighten and moisturize while giving you full, natural and glowy coverage and protecting you with SPF 40. This is my choice item for the month and it’s funny because I’ve been so busy recently that I forgot to choose an item so BoxyCharm just picked one for me. I was actually excited when I saw it because I’ve heard so many great things about the Purlisse BB Cream, people love it, but when I swatched it I found out that it’s a shade too dark for me. I’m going to buy one that is my shade because I do want to try it out.

IMG_9034

The second to last item we have is the Dito Cosmetics Limited Edition Venus 12 Shade Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is inspired by the planet Venus and the 12 shadows in the palette embody that. There are 5 different finishes, matte, shimmery, creamy, ultra-shiny glitter and shimmer with sparkle. All are supposed to be highly pigmented.

IMG_9035

You get a decent size mirror with this palette as well, which is always great.

IMG_9036

The space nerd in me really love the layout of this palette and the names of all of the shades. I think the space theme was really well done and I like it a lot.

IMG_9037

Because I did take pictures of this palette outside, I took pictures of the swatches outside and inside as well so you could see both. The first shadow we have is Venus and it’s a very light and opaque pink, I had to swatch it multiple times, I think it would be a great topper. Next we have Mercury, a nude shadow that would be a great base or transition shade. Then there’s Earth, a bronzy/copper shadow. Next to that is Moon, which is a pinky red, this one also didn’t swatch the best, I had to swipe it a few times to get a real nice result. The second to last shadow we have is Jupiter, a gorgeous gold that I like a lot and the last shadow in this row is Io, which is a really pretty brown with some gold shimmer.

IMG_9042

IMG_9044

The second row starts with Deimos, a bronzy/copper glitter with silver and brown glitter as well. It’s super pretty. Next to that is Phobos, a matte medium brown. Then we have Mars, a light brown/light gold shadow that again, I had to swipe a couple times to get a good swatch. Next to that is Europa, a matte dark purple shadow. The second to last shadow we have is Ganymede, which is a  really dark purple/black and the last shadow in the row is Kallisto, which is that burgandy that’s been a really popular shadow color in palettes recently. This shadow was super crumbly when I swatched it which I wasn’t expecting, but it’s really pretty so I definitely want to see if I can make it work. Overall I think this is a nice palette, not all of the shadows swatched that great, but I’m still excited to try it out and create some fun looks.

IMG_9043

IMG_9045

And the last product we have is the Jecca Blac Play Pot in Pink Pearl. These Play Pots are cream pigments that can be used on your eyes, lips and cheeks. They’re supposed to be effortless to blend out and give you a ton of pigment. They have a vegan and cruelty free formula and this one in particular has a shimmer finish. We’ve having a bit of a heatwave right now, so when I got this after it sat in the mail truck and my mailbox, it was sweating a little bit, but I put it in the fridge for a bit and that solved the problem. It’s quite a nice shade, and I think that I would use it more on my lips and maybe my eyes than my cheeks, but I’m excited to try it.

IMG_9038

IMG_9039

IMG_9040

IMG_9041

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of the same products in your August BoxyCharm box let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get in my September box :).

June BoxyCharm Unboxing

Hi everyone,

The other day I received my June BoxyCharm Box and I thought that today would be the perfect day to go through it. The theme this month is Dare To Dazzle, and it fits very well with the items in the box.

The first  item we have is the OPV Beauty Spotlight Eyeshadow Palette. This is an 18 pan palette with a mix of matte and shimmer shades. You get a pretty decent size mirror with this palette and that’s always really nice. Normally I would swatch an eyeshadow palette, but I’m going to give this to someone and I don’t want to mess it up and touch it. If I’m being completely honest, just looking at the shadows, there aren’t any that excite me and I think it’s a little overpriced.

The next item we have is the Luna Magic Beauty Va – Va Voom Pink Lash Primer. This is a mascara primer that has a natural wax formula with a creamy texture and new and innovative emulsifier to add volume and length to your lashes. I think it’s cool that this is actually pink because I haven’t seen a pink lash primer before. I don’t actually use a lash primer, but my mom does so I’m going to give this to her.

Moving on we have the Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Glowdient Makeup Palette. This is a multi use face palette with gradient shades to bronze, blush and highlight. This palette is gorgeous, I took pictures in the sun and inside and this is a palette I can’t wait to use. I will say that I accidentally smudged the second swatch and didn’t notice, so in the picture it doesn’t look as good as it actually is. There are five shades in this palette and you get a nice mirror, which is always great to see in a face palette.

The second to last item we have is the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in 2489, Famous Red and this was my choice item for the month. This is a matte lipstick in pencil form that has a non drying and long lasting formula with Vitamin E and emollients that gives a creamy texture and ensure you have seamless matte color for hours. I have a few of the matte lip pencils in various shades and I absolutely love them. This red in particular is really nice, it’s not too deep or too bright but it’s vivid and rich in color. I definitely recommend giving one of these pencils a try if you haven’t already. I also took pictures of this swatch in the sun and inside.

And the last item we have is the LoveScript Wild Lavender Body Wash. This is a very thick and luxurious body cleanser that gives you an epic velvety foam with just a dollop. You can either use this on a loofa or poured directly into a bath and the lavender scent is supposed to soothe and elevate your senses. I really like the body wash I’m using now, but this one smells really good and it sounds really nice so I’m interested to try it.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you got any of the same items in your June BoxyCharm box let me know, and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your items and I can’t wait to see what I get in my July box :).

Three Recent Looks, Malibu Barbie x ColourPop Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite types of posts, a Three Recent Looks, this time with the Malibu Barbie x ColourPop palette. This is one of those palettes that gives me all the nostalgia because I loved Barbie as a kid and as an adult it’s nice to see a quality brand making a Barbie collection and giving us the makeup we always wanted as kids.

The first look I did was one I knew I had to do as soon as I saw the shadows, bright pink and sparkly. So the first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with my Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I first bronzed using the Nars Laguna Bronzer, then I applied my Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry Blush and Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and first took Board Walk and put that in the crease. Then I took Best Coast and packed that on the outer corner of my eye and into the crease a little bit. For the rest of my lid I applied Follow The Sun. I then took Best Coast and brought it under my eye about halfway, then took Follow The Sun and put that about 90% of the way. For the inner corner of my eye I used Vintage Doll. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. For my lips I wanted a pink lip so I took the Sephora Collection Lip Liner To Go in 09, Fuchsia and lightly used it all over then topped it with the Sephora Collection #LIPSTORIES Lipstick in 69, Werk It. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

For the second look I wanted to do something more beachy for Malibu Barbie, so I did turquoise and sparkles. The first thing I did was prime my face using the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder in Translucent Peach Whisper

For the rest of my face I first bronzed with the Nars Laguna Bronzer, then I applied the Blush and Highlighter from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette, taking Malibu Memories and putting it lightly in the crease, then packing it on the outer corner of my eye. I then took Surf’s Up and put it all over the rest of my lid. I then took Malibu Memories and brought it under my eye about halfway, putting Surf’s Up on the other half and into the inner corner. For a little extra color I took the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Big Splash and put it in my waterline. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. For my lips I first lined them using the Model Co Lip Enhancer Nude Lip Liner Pencil and filled them in using the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

For the third look I did something that if you guys have been reading these Three Recent Looks posts, you know I like, and that is a champagne and peach look. I do generally like this color combo and if these shades happen to appear in a palette, then I like to test them out and see how they look together. For my face the first thing I did was prime using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I then applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I first bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, then I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and the highlighter from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee.

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and first took Make Waves and put that in the crease. Then I took Let’s Go Party and packed that on the outer corner of my eye. For the rest of my lid I applied Cali Girl. I then took Let’s Go Party and brought that under my eye about halfway and used Cali Girl for the other half and into the inner corner. For a little extra color I took the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Peach Fuzz in the waterline. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I first line them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Nude Lip Liner Pencil and filled that in with the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. I set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always really like doing these posts so look out for more in the future. I really like this palette, I think it a lot of fun and versatile. I would definitely recommend it if you’re a Barbie fan or are looking for a fun summer palette.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Three Recent Looks, ColourPop Limoncello Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite types of posts, a Three Recent Looks, this time with the ColourPop Limoncello palette. This is a really fun, versatile palette and it has a lot of range.

For the first look I really wanted to play around with the blue shade and I’m so happy with how it came out. So the first thing I did was prime my face using the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I bronzed using the Nars Bronzer in Laguna, then applied the Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry Blush and Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. I then went into the palette and took the shade Tuscan Fun and put that lightly in the crease. Next I took the blue shade, La Festa and packed that onto the outer corner of my eye and on the inner corner, leaving a space in the middle. In that space I wanted a shimmer, so I used Serenade. I put La Festa under my eye, almost all the way, putting Serenade in the inner corner. Because I wanted a little extra color, I used the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Extra Frosting in my waterline. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I lined them first with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Nude Lip Liner Pencil and on top of that used the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell. Then I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

For the second look I wanted to do something more neutral and use mainly browns. The first thing I did for this look was prime my face using the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I bronzed using the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and the Too Faced Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I took the shade Tuscan Fun and put that lightly in the crease. I then used Semifreddo and packed that onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the crease a little and out on the lid just a little. I used Touring on the rest of my lid, then brought Semifreddo under my eye most of the way, putting Touring in the inner corner of my eye. I lined my eyes with the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara. For my lips I took the Vintage By Jessica Liebeskind Cashmere Lip Pencil in Mocha, put it lightly all over my lips and on top of that used the Nars Afterglow Lip Balm in Laguna. I set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

For the third look I wanted to play with color and do something fun. The first thing I did was prime my face using the GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I bronzed with the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer, applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and the highlighter from the e.l.f. Bite Size Face Duo in Lychee

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I took the shade Amalfi and put that in the crease. Next I took the shade Vespa and put that lightly on the outer corner, bringing it in just a little but. For the rest of my lid I basically split it in half and on one side put Capri and on the other put Serenade. I then took a little bit of Vespa under my eye and did the same with Capri and Serenade, putting Serenade in the inner corner. For a little extra color, I used the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Extra Frosting in my waterline. I lined my eyes with the NYX Slide On Eye Pencil in SL 15, Brown Perfection and topped it off with the KVD Go Big Or Go Home Mascara. For my lips I lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Nude Lip Liner Pencil and on top of that used the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I really like doing this style of post so look out for more in the future. Overall I really like this palette and if you’re looking for a good palette for summer, I would recommend this one.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Three Recent Looks, ColourPop Lizzie McGuire What Dreams Are Made Of Palette

Hi everyone,

Today I have one of my favorite types of posts, a three recent looks, this time with the ColourPop Lizzie McGuire What Dreams Are Made Of Palette. I really like this palette, I think it’s a lot of fun and it has a lot of range and versatility.

For the first look I went with one of my favorite color combos of a peachy/orange and a shimmery champagne. The first thing I did was prime my face with the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. This isn’t included in the picture because I had a sample of it from a recent Too Faced order. I know there is a lot of criticism with this primer because they changed the formula, and as someone who tried the old formula and liked it, I think this new formula is decent and I didn’t have any issues with it. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless Foundation in 205, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set it with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I first bronzed using the Nars Laguna Bronzer, then I applied the Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry Blush and Angel Kisses Highlighter.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime them using the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eyeshadow Primer. Then I took the shade Done & Done and applied it lightly in the crease. I then took Soo Mature and packed it on the outer corner of my eye, bringing it less than halfway onto my lid and bringing it a little bit into the crease. For the rest of my lid I applied Buh-Bye. I took Soo Mature and put it under my eye, bringing it in the same about and did the same with Buh-Bye and I brought that into the inner corner of my eye. I then used the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Peach Fuzz in my water liner for a little extra color, used the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper to line my eyes and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I first lined them with the Model Co Lip Enhancer Nude Lip Liner Pencil and on top of that used the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Crush. I set the whole look with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray

For the second look I wanted to play around with the purples in the palette because that’s not something I do very often.

For the rest of my face the first thing I did was bronze using the Nars Laguna Bronzer. Then I applied the Too Faced Makeup & Be Merry Blush and Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold

For my eyes the first thing I did was prime them using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I went into the palette and put the shade Uggghhh! in the crease. I then took Digital Bean and packed it onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the crease just a little. I then divided the rest of my lid in half, putting Hello Fabulous on one side and Outfit Rememberer on the other. I took Digital Bean and put it under my eye, then did the same with Hello Fabulous and Outfit Rememberer, bringing Outfit Rememberer into the inner corner of my eye. I put the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Amethyst Hour in my water line for a little extra color, lined my eyes using the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42 and topped it off with the Sephora Collection LashCraft Big Volume Mascara. For my lips I used the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and set the whole look with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

For the third look I wanted to do something fun and I’ve seen a few people on Instagram do versions of this look, so I got some inspiration from that. The first thing I did was prime my face using the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. Then I applied my Covergirl + Olay Foundation in 250, Ivory, my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 5, Ivory and set everything with the Ofra Pressed Banana Powder.

For the rest of my face I first bronzed using the Too Faced Extra Toasty Bronzer. The I applied the Too Faced Daydreamer Blush and Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold.

For my eyes, the first thing I did was prime using the Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer. Then I used the shade Uggghhh! on half of my crease and Don’t Freak on the other half. I then packed Outfit Repeater onto the outer corner of my eye, bringing it in less than halfway and into the crease the same amount. For the rest of the lid I used Dear Diary. I then brought Outfit Repeater under my eye and did the same with Dear Diary, making sure to bring Dear Diary into the inner corner. I lined my eyes using the KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper and topped it off with the Tarte Maneater Mascara. For my lips I applied the Wander Beauty Double Date Lip and Cheek in Rendezvous and set everything with the Maven Beauty Rose Water Setting Spray.

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like doing this type of post so look out for more in the future. Overall I really like this palette and definitely recommend it.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

Malibu Barbie x ColourPop Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Today I have a really fun post. This one is all about a review of the brand new Malibu Barbie x ColourPop palette. When I saw the pictures for this collection I was excited about it. Barbie was a huge part of my childhood and when you’re a kid you think about how cool it would be to have Barbie makeup and generally the closest you get to that is if a doll comes with some sort of lipstick/hair thing. But now, as adults, there are more and more cosmetics brands doing collaborations with Barbie, so we get to experience what we wanted as kids and it’s exciting.

Every part of this palette fits the Malibu Barbie vibe. The palette itself is a medium pink with the sun, sea, beach and a palm tree with ‘Barbie x ColourPop’ written at the top and ‘Malibu Barbie’ in the middle.

You get a nice mirror with this palette. It had a pink boarder with the sun in the top right corner, and some clouds in the top right and left corners and ‘Barbie x ColourPop’ written in the middle.

This is a 15 pan palette with a mix of matte and metallics and a really fun range of colors. There are a lot of fun and bright colors, but this seems like a very versatile palette.

The first row starts with Cali Girl, a really pretty metallic soft champagne. Next to that is Vintage Doll, which is a baby pink metallic with a hot pink shift. Then there’s Come On, a metallic bronzey/gold. Next to that is Let’s Go Party, which is a matte peachy coral but this one has a rainbow shaped stamped into it. And the last shadow in the row is Shine On, a metallic rose gold with more cool undertones.

The second row starts with West Coast, a really bright matte yellow that is a deeper yellow and I would say it’s very close to canary. Next to that is Best Coast, which is a really bright matte pink with a heart stamped into it. Then there’s Follow The Sun, a really pretty metallic hot pink. Next to that is Malibu Memories, a matte turquoise that I love. It can hard to formulate shades like this, but this one is really pigmented and swatched nice and smooth. The last shadow in the row is Zuma Beach, a nice medium toned warm brown.

The third row starts with Make Waves, a matte peachy shade with yellow undertones and a palm tree stamped into it. Next to that is Board Walk, which is a really warm coral/peach. Then there’s Surf’s Up, a metallic turquoise that I can’t wait to wear, it’s so pretty. Next to that is 1971, a metallic light copper that has pink undertones, it’s an interesting shadow but I like it. And the last shadow in the row is So-Cal, a matte really bright orange with a heart stamped into it.

That about wraps it up for this post, overall I think this is a great palette and I can’t wait to play with it. Everything seems really pigmented, the formulas are nice like always and you appear to get great color payoff from every shadow. This is definitely going to be one of those palettes that a ton of fun looks come out of. If any of you have purchased this palette or anything from the collection I’d love to know what.

Until next time, have fun creating different looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).

April Favorites

Hi everyone,

As it’s the end of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to do my April favorites. I have a pretty good mix this month, so let’s get into it.

Starting with beauty, I have a couple of favorites from my April BoxyCharm box, and if you haven’t read that I’ll link it below. My first Boxy favorite is the Eloise Beauty Get Gleaming Body Glow in Champagne Rich. This is a lightweight, non sticky luminizer for face and body. This says it has a transfer proof formula and it appears to be very buildable, so you could build it up for your desired glow. Based on the swatch and the little test I did, it’s super pretty and definitely something I’m going to be using a lot during the summer months.

My last Boxy favorite is the Natasha Denona Ayana palette. This is a 5 pan, cool toned palette made exclusively for BoxyCharm and it has 3 mattes and 2 shimmers.

I’ve done one look with this palette since I’ve had it and I think this palette is a classic example of how great ND shadows are. The formulation is great, the mattes are smooth and blend out nicely, the shimmers are creamy and everything is really pigmented. If you’re looking to try out Natasha Denona shadows and don’t want to commit to one of the larger palettes, I definitely recommend the smaller 5 pan palettes.

And my last beauty favorite is the ColourPop Fresh Cut BFF Creme Gel Liner Kit. I did a whole post about these, so I’ll link that below as well. I really like this kit. I like the range of colors, they’re super long lasting and they’re comfortable to put in the waterline. If you’re looking for a set of spring colored eyeliners, I definitely recommend this one.

Moving on, I have a food favorite and it’s the Popcorners chips. These are triangle shaped popcorn chips and they’re delicious. They have a few flavors but I’ve tried the Sea Salt and Kettle Corn and I would recommend both. What I like about these is they’re light and a lot less messy than eating from a bowl of popcorn. Definitely a great snack.

Moving on, I have a couple of fashion favorites. I’ve been doing a little bit of online shopping recently with a focus on things for spring and summer, and so far I’ve picked up some really cute pieces. The first is a white tank top from Macy’s. I like this because the material is lightweight, but it’s not totally see through. It has a thicker strap, a scoop neck, a cute little pocket on the left side and it ties at the bottom.

My second fashion favorite is a dress from Nordstrom. I’m always trying to add more spring and summer dresses to my wardrobe and when I came across this one I thought it was super cute. It’s coral with a white floral print, spaghetti straps, a ruffle at the top and a ruffled bottom. Once I wear it I’ll post pictures on my social media.

And my last favorite is a music favorite and this time it’s a song. So a little bit of background, the US Navy Blue Angels just started their 2021 show season and the airshow they were at did a live stream of the whole weekend, and one of the things that I’m always interested in is the music they pick for the show and how the songs go with each maneuver. I think that they have a pretty good song list, some I like more than others, and I know that it might change as the season goes on. But there were a few songs in particular that stuck out to me and one of them is American Style by Old Dominion. Not only do I think this is a really fun song, but they use it towards the end of the show when they’re in the Delta and I think it’s super fitting. Definitely a song I would recommend listening to if you haven’t.

That about wraps it up for this post, if we have any of the same favorites let me know and if not I’d love to know what your April favorites were.

Until next time, enjoy your favorites and I hope you had a great April :).
