Blogmas Day Twelve: Christmas Nails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve! I can’t believe it’s already the last day, it’s been more stressful this year I will admit, but it does feel like it’s flown by. And I will probably be doing it again next year. Today though, I’m going to be showing you the nails that I did this month. Every December I do festive nails and I find it to be a lot of fun, so let’s get into it.

The first week was a little strange because it was right after Thanksgiving and my Thanksgiving polish was still fresh but it kind of fit in so I left it.

SEPT1

What I used was the Sinful Colors, 2621, Nakey Nay and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat. Super simple but really pretty.

CHN1

The second manicure I did was in keeping with the simple theme and very wintery and it’s matte white nails. I did forget to take a picture, but what I used was the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails 110, Hard To Get and Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat.

CHN2

For the third manicure this was when I started to get more into the design and I did snowflake nails. But I did them differently than I normally would, so I did one big snowflake on my ring finger and on the rest of the nails I did a bunch of little snowflakes.

CHN5

To do this I used the Salon Perfect 207, Blue Ribbon, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen in 360, Pearly White and the Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN3

And the last manicure I did, the one I have on now, is present nails. I do this one every year because they’re super cute, very festive and easy to do.

CHN6

To do this, I used the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 485, Golden-I, Pure Ice 1626, Hit The Floor, Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Fine Tip Pen 380, Red and Pure Ice High Shine Top Coat.

CHN4

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys did festive nails this December I’d love to know what designs you chose.

Until next time, thanks you all for reading the 12 Days of Blogmas. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Eleven: December Sephora Play Unboxing

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Eleven! Today I’m going to be going through and unboxing my December Sephora Play Box. This was delayed because of holidays, but I’m very happy to have it now. The theme for this month is Award Worthy Beauty. These are products that are some of the best of the year. The bag itself is plastic with a snap and lock closure on the top. The front is a pretty see through purple with various beauty and lifestyle objects and ‘Play! By Sephora’ in the middle. The back is white and it says ‘Good things come to those who PLAY! #SephoraPlay’ written in purple.

DCSP1

The first product we have is the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea-Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer. This has hyaluronic acid and squalane to plump and hydrate the skin, the Rainforest of the Sea complex to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and an electrolyte balancing complex to promote balanced skin and moisturize. I really like Tarte and I think their Rainforest of the Sea range is great so I’m excited to try this.

DCSP2

Next we have the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in Blacquer 42. I’m wearing this now and I have another one of these and I really like them. They’re long wearing, they glide on really smooth and I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a new eyeliner.

DCSP3

Moving on we have the Grande Cosmetics GrandeDRAMA Intense Thickening Mascara in Black. I’ve been seeing Grande Cosmetics everywhere and hearing a lot about them but until now I haven’t tried any of their products. This mascara has Caster oil and along with the fact that this gives your lashes lift and volume, the Caster oil helps to give a glossy finish. The brush is a nice size and it looks like it would coat all your lashes well.

DCSP4

DCSP8

The next product we have is the Ouai Body Cleanser. This has Jojoba oil to hydrate and soothe the skin, Rose hip oil to nurture and moisturize and Lactobacillus ferment which is a skin balancing probiotic. This smells really good and I’m interested to try it.

DCSP5

The second to last product we have is the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This is a holy grail cream for so many people. It smells incredible, it’s fast absorbing and it makes your skin feel really soft. I can’t even tell you how much I recommend this.

DCSP6

And the last product we have, this months bonus, is the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner. This is a purple shampoo and conditioner so it counteracts brassiness and prevents color degradation along with boosting vibrancy and adding shine to blonde and highlighted hair. I do have blonde hair but I don’t often use purple shampoo and conditioner, so we’ll see how I like it.

DCSP7

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your December Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.

Until next time, enjoy your products and I can’t wait to see what I get next month :).

Blogmas Day Ten: Sephora Play, A Year In Review

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Ten! Today I thought it would be fun to go through the Sephora Play Boxes I’ve received this year and let you guys know what I’m still loving and what I’ve repurchased. I do a monthly favorites, so I won’t be going super in depth for each box. And full disclosure, I haven’t received my December Play Box yet, but I will be doing an unboxing. That being said, let’s get into it.

The first bag I received was February.

FBSP1

This was a great first bag of the year and I genuinely like everything in this bag. The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple has become one of my go to red lipsticks. I will leave a link down below to each post if you guys want more info on each of the products.

MRSP1

March brought a little bit of everything, which I always appreciate. The products that I use the most now out of this bag are the Amika Dry Shampoo, the Nars Bronzer and the Sephora Collection Mascara. I do really like that IT Cosmetics Cleanser, but I used the one I had and just haven’t repurchased yet.

APB1

With the April Box came a change in color of the bag and some great products. The Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment in Dream secured itself a place on my nightstand, I actually need to repurchase because mine is almost empty. You guys know how much I love the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream and the Make Up For Ever Primer is great.

MYSP1

The May Box reunited me with a skincare favorite, the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel. Gave me a summer skincare favorite, the KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil and I got a backup for one of my all time favorite mascaras, Benefit BADgal BANG!

JUSP1

June was another differently colored bag and it was very skincare heavy. The Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator-Hydrate and Glow was one of my absolute favorites during the summer. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer made itself back into the front of my primer drawer and since June you guys have seen how much I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla.

JLSP1

In July I added to my always growing Bite Beauty collection in my lipstick drawer with the Matte Cream Lip Crayon in Glace, when I received this I already had this exact one but it was basically empty so I was happy to see this because this is one of my favorite shades. The Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet made it’s way onto my fragrance shelf, the OG Daisy is one of my all time favorite scents, but the whole Daisy collection is so nice.

AUSP1

The August Box was great, I loved the color of the bag and it was full of great products. Most of which I’m still using.

SPSP1

September was another fantastic bag. This is yet another month where I’m still using and loving everything in the bag. And it was a good mix of skincare and makeup products.

OCTSP1

In October I received a mini of one of my all time favorite, holy grail products, the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I keep this one in my handbag makeup bag and it’s a great size to carry around. I was given another of the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Hydrating Primer, also kept in my handbag makeup bag. And I think this is one of the first times this Sephora Play year that I’ve had genuine product disappointment. I was so excited to try the WASO: Clear Mega-Hydrating Moisturizer and I did really like the feel of it when I put it on initially but there was something in there my skin did not like and it broke me out. But one good thing about Sephora Play is along with finding things you love, you get to try new products and not like them without paying full price for them.

NVSP5

The November box was honestly amazing. I so love everything in here and the bag itself is a lovely purple. I’m wearing three of these products right now actually, the Glamglow Glamstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer, Lancôme Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Mascara and Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume. It’s all so good.

That about wraps it up for this post, Sephora has sent me a ton of amazing products this year. I love how they switched up the color of the bags and I’m excited to see what’s in my December Box. If any of you guys were doing Play this year I’d love to know what your favorites were.

Until next time, Sephora Play was and is definitely worth it and I’m excited to continue next year :).

Blogmas Day Nine: Winter Skincare Routine

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Nine! Today I’m going to be showing you guys my winter skincare routine. I do these posts every season, and I really enjoy them, so with that being said let’s get into it.

The first thing I do is take the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips put that on a cotton pad and swipe it over my eyes and lips. One of the things I really like about this is it has a really gentle formula so you don’t have to scrub and it takes off every long wear, waterproof product you’re wearing.

JLSP2

Then I take the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel to remove the rest of my makeup. You put this on your hands, rub until it’s foamy, then put on your face. And it leaves your skin feeling really nice.

MYSP3

My next step is to take the Caudalie Concentrated Brightening Essence on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. This removes any dead skin cells you may have so that your serums and moisturizers can really sink in and do their job.

JSP5

Then it’s time for serums. This winter I’ve been rotating between my two favorites, the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which is really great at evening out your skin tone and brightening your skin and honestly during winter I feel like brightening is key because the cold can be so harsh on the skin. And the Olehenriksen Truth Serum, which has vitamin C, green tea, aloe juice and orange extract and is very hydrating and brightening as well.

OSP3

SSP7

I follow that with moisturizer and this winter I’ve been loving two. The first is the Algenist Genius Sleeping Collagen, which I talked about 975 times during the summer months and I still freaking love it. This has a really buttery texture, it makes my skin feel really soft, hydrated and almost dewy. It’s a vegan collagen, has ceramides, alguronic acid, Mary Thistle and is free of pretty much everything. The second is the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. This makes my skin again feel really soft and smooth. The callout is that it can retain moisture for up to 26 hours and it does feel like it moisturizes for a long time.

AUSP3

SPSP2

My second to last step is eye cream and for that I have my trusty duo of the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb and the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream. The Belif cream has been my holy grail eye cream for a while, it makes my under eye look and feel moisturized. The Clinique Pep-Start is really hydrating, brightening and I look more refreshed after using it.

FSP3

APB9

And my last step is lips. For this I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla and the Vanilla Softlips. I’ve been using the Laneige more because it gives that extra moisture that my lips want during winter. But the Softlips is always really hydrating and both of these smell really good.

JUSP5

AF3

That about wraps it up for this post, if we use any of the same products let me know and if not I’d love to know what products you do use.

Until next time, have fun with your routines and you can never have too many skincare products :).

Blogmas Day Eight: Fab Fit Fun Starter Box Unboxing and Review

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Eight! Today I’m going to be doing something that I really enjoy and that’s an unboxing and review. This time it’s the Fab Fit Fun Starter Box. I’ve been interested by the Fab Fit Fun boxes for a while and during Black Friday the starter boxes were $5.00, so I picked one up.

FFF1

When I opened this box the first two things I saw were a magazine that tells you all about the boxes and Fab Fit Fun as a whole. And a card that gives you a breakdown of what’s in the box.

FFF2

There are four products in this box, and the first one we have is the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream Camellia, Geranium Blossom. This is a facial moisturizer that is supposed to hydrate and help your skin to look soothed, smoothed and give you a good base for applying your makeup without giving you any shine or making you look oily. This has Camellia and Rosehip Oil, Aloe, Jojoba Oil, Cane Sugar and Geranium Blossom. Grown Alchemist is an Australian brand that I hadn’t heard of before, but I’m interested to see how this cream works out. I’ll let you guys know what I think.

FFF3

FFF4

Next we have the Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer in Black Orchid. This is a flower shaped buffer. What you do is run this under water and it changes from this hard more exfoliating texture to a really soft body washer. This scent is on the stronger side, you can smell it immediately after opening the box, but it’s not overpowering. I’ve heard good things about these, so I’m excited to try it.

FFF5

FFF6

The second to last product we have is the Moroccan Gold Series Leave-in Mask. You spray this in damp hair and comb through and it’s supposed to bring life back into your hair by reversing damage, dullness and dryness. Nourish and condition in addition to locking in moisture and helping to detangle. I quite like hair masks like this and this one smells really good.

FFF7

FFF8

And the last product we have is the Yumi Kim Hanging Train Case. This case is light pink with a floral pattern, a gold Yumi Kim badge on the top, gold zippers and two handles on top. When you open it you see two large pockets, both with gold zippers and a black fold out pocket that has a hanger on top so you can hang this case anywhere.

FFF9

FFF10

FFF12

FFF11

That about wraps it up for this post, I honestly am impressed by the entire box. If you guys have used any of these products or use them now, I’d love to know your thoughts.

Until next time, enjoy your products and you can never subscribe to too many subscription boxes :).

Blogmas Day Seven: Christmas Day Activities

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Seven! Today I’m going to be talking about some of my favorite Christmas Day activities. I’ve mentioned this before, but on Christmas Day my family has a really chill day and it’s pretty much always been that way. I do my makeup on the more glam side, do a simple hairstyle and put on some cozy loungewear. We take our time opening presents and just enjoy ourselves.

After the present opening there’s a good amount of time before dinner and after everyone has messed with their presents it’s only natural to want to fill that time with something, so for us it’s always been games. As my siblings and I have gotten older the games have changed, but now we have our favorites.

One of my favorites is darts. This is a newer addition to the holidays but I think it’s one of the most fun. I highly recommend buying a dartboard if you don’t have one because it’s a great game and kids and adult alike can have a lot of fun with it.

Something I try to do at least once during the holiday season is put together a festive puzzle. I love puzzles always but especially during the holidays because it’s such a cozy thing to do. And the festive puzzles are so cute and have great pictures.

Ever since I was a little kid and I know before I was born, my parents would buy my siblings a new video game or video games. That tradition has continued on as we all have consoles and love to play games, there are some we play team up and play together and others only one of us will play. But on Christmas day one or multiple of us will open up a game and we’ll all play.

The last activity we have is dominoes. On Christmas night after dinner we all gather around and play dominoes. This is something we’ve been doing for years and all have a lot of fun with, especially because we’re all a little competitive with each other but there’s always so many laughs.

That about wraps it up for this post, if you have any games you play with your family on or during Christmas I’d love to know what they are.

Until next time, enjoy your traditions and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Six: Christmas Day Makeup

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Six! I can’t believe we’re already halfway through and that there’s only two weeks until Christmas. Today I’m going to be showing you guys what my Christmas day makeup is going to be. I like to decide what I’m going to do beforehand, so on the day I can just pop it on and have a chill day. For a while I’ve been doing gold eyes, but this year I wanted something different and this is what I came up with.

So, the first thing I did was moisturizer my face with the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow. I really like this, it makes my face really soft and it gives me a nice glow that peeks through my foundation. Then I went in with my foundation, the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless in 205, Ivory. After that I applied my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 5, Ivory under my eyes to brighten and in a few other places. And I topped that off with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.

CHM2

For the rest of my face, the first thing I did was go in with my bronzer and for that I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Then I applied one of my favorite blushes, the Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. And I topped it off with the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin.

CHM3

CHM4

For my eyes, the first thing I did was use the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, this is probably my favorite eyeshadow primer. Then I went in to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette and used Twig in the crease. It’s a really nice brown and I use it as a crease color for quite a few looks. Then I used the dark matte brown from the e.l.f. Eye Candy Eyeshadow Duo Set on the outer corner of my eye and I brought that in just a little. And on the rest of the lid I used the bright white shadow from that same e.l.f. duo. I then used the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner in Trooper and finished the look with the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara, it gives you lashes for days.

CHM5

CHM6

ELF8

To top off the whole look I applied the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Maple. This is a deep brick red and I love it. It’s a great red lipstick. And I locked it all in with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

CHM7

CHM8

CHM1

That about wraps it up for this post, I always like to do posts like this so look out for more in the future. I’d also love to know what you guys do on Christmas. Do you go a little glam with your look, keep it simple or rock no makeup?

Until next time, have fun creating your looks and I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas :).

Blogmas Day Five: Holiday Hairstyles

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Five! Today I thought it would be fun to do something I haven’t done before, and that’s holiday hairstyles. It’s party season and now that I have short hair I feel like I have more options for styling and I’m more excited to style it. With that being said, let’s get into it.

The first style we have is simply straight. I know this one isn’t particularly groundbreaking, but because I have multiple colors in my hair, depending on the way I style it, a different color will show through. So some days it’s the blonde and other days it’s the red.

HH1

Next we have curly. Now this is admittedly not the best photo, but there is a story behind it. I hardly ever curl my hair, I love the way it looks when it’s done but because my hair is so thick it takes forever. But a few weeks ago it was my mom’s birthday and she always like to take a family photo on her birthday so I dressed up. It was super windy and cold that my curls fell pretty much all the way out. But I also used the bigger of my two curling irons and it didn’t give me the exact look I wanted. I think next time I do curls it will definitely be with the smaller one.

HH2

Moving on, we have what has become one of my new favorite ways to do my hair. And that’s a little bun. I would do a bun all the time when my hair was long, most out of convenience, but a bun is always a good style. So I’ve been doing little ones now and I will do them in various sizes. But this takes practically no time and goes with pretty much every look.

HH3

Next is a super simple one. What you do is take two big sections of hair, one from each side, pull it behind your head and clip together. When I do this normally I use a claw clip, but for the holidays I have a couple of festive clips that I could use.

HH4

This next one is basically the same as the previous, but with braids. What I do is take two medium sized chunks of hair, one from each side, braid, and put together. For this photo I used red rubber bands, but if I did for a party I would use the clear ones.

HH5

HH8

And the last style we have can be done a couple of ways. The way I did it today is by parting my hair down the middle and braiding it. I did try to push up the front a little bit, but it didn’t look exactly how I wanted so I elected not to show a front view. I also like this look with a French braid.

HH9

That about wraps it up for this post, if you were stuck for a party hairstyle I hope this helped.

Until next time, have fun styling and enjoy your holiday parties :).

Blogmas Day Four: Holiday Treats

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Four! Today I thought it would be fun to share some delicious holiday treats with you guys. I love baking all throughout the year, but especially during the holidays and I do quite a lot of it. I have four different treats I’m going to talk about, so let’s get into it.

The first treat we have is Christmas Muddy Buddies. I make these for every holiday, they’re super easy to put together and always a crowd pleaser.

What You Need:

  • 1 box of Chex cereal, you can use whichever you prefer, I do a combo of half rice Chex half chocolate Chex
  • 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 6 tablespoons of butter cut into small pieces
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of holiday M&M’s

What You Do:

  • The first step is to take two baking sheets and line them. Once you’ve done that, set them aside. Then pour your cereal into a large bowl and set that aside as well.
  • Next take a microwavable bowl and add in the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave that on high for one minute and stir. Microwave for an additional 10-30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth when you stir it.
  • Once the mixture is smooth stir in the vanilla and pour over the cereal, making sure it’s evenly coated.
  • Then coat the cereal in the powdered sugar. For this you can stir it into the bowl or you can pour the cereal into large Ziploc bags, add powered sugar and shake it all up. But either way make sure it’s evenly coated.
  • Spread the cereal out on the two baking sheets to cool. Once it’s cool put it in your serving vessel, add the holiday M&M’s and give a gentle stir to make sure everything is well combined.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next treat we have is Christmas Sprinkle Cookies, these are a holiday classic and easy to make.

What You Need:

  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1/2 of Christmas colored sprinkles

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is get a large bowl and to that add your butter and sugar. Beat that at medium speed until it’s light and fluffy.
  • Then add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix.
  • Once that’s mixed add the flour and salt and mix until just combined.
  • Next, shape your dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the sprinkles, making sure they’re evenly coated.
  • Once all the dough balls are coated slightly flatten them and add a few more sprinkles.
  • You can put these in the fridge to firm up but it takes much longer, so I freeze mine for about 15 minutes.
  • While you’re waiting on the cookies to firm up, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Remove your cookies from the freezer and place on the cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart and bake until the edges are lightly browned. About 12-15 minutes.
  • Once the cookies are out let them sit on the pan for 2 minutes then move to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last treat we have is a cookie I make every year and it’s Chocolate Peppermint Thumbprint Cookies.

What You Need:

  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of mint extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 28 unwrapped peppermint Kisses

What You Do:

  • The first step is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Next, cream together the butter and both the sugars until they’re light and fluffy. Then add in the eggs one at a time until just combined and mix in the mint extract.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture in parts, making sure to mix until just combined each time and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  • Once everything is well combined refrigerate the dough for at least 3 hours. You can let it sit overnight if you want.
  • Once out of the fridge, roll into 1 inch balls and place 1-2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Once they’re done let them cool for about 3 minutes and press 1 peppermint Kiss into the top of each cookie.
  • Move the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last treat we have is Gingerbread Cookies. I really like gingerbread but I don’t make it a whole lot, maybe this will change that.

What You Need:

  • 2 1/4 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup of molasses
  • 1/4 cup of sugar

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is sift together the dry ingredients (flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt).
  • Then cream together the butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. To that add the egg and mix until well combined.
  • Add the orange juice and molasses and mix until well combined.
  • Next start to add the dry ingredients, in small parts, until well combined.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 2-3 hours or if you’re in the rush, pop in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Take about 2 tablespoons of the dough and roll into balls. Roll in the 1/4 cup of sugar and flatten.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes.
  • Let cookies cool on cooling rack.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these treats let me know how it turns out.

Until next time, have fun baking and I’d love to know what your favorite holiday treat is :).

Blogmas Day Three: Holiday Cocktails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Blogmas Day Three! I can’t believe there’s only three weeks until Christmas, I have so much shopping and decorating to do. Today, as it is the holiday season and there are parties aplenty, I thought it would be a good time to share some holiday cocktails with you. Whether you’re throwing a party or just want to have a festive drink, these are perfect.

The first cocktail we have is the Winter Sea Breeze. This is light and refreshing but has a nice holiday feel. This recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 ounce of grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce of tonic syrup
  • 2 ounces of soda water
  • 12 pomegranate seeds
  • Ice
  • 3 mint leaves to garnish

What You Do:

  • The first thing your going to do is take your cocktail shaker and add ice.
  • Then add in your vodka, grapefruit juice, tonic syrup, soda water and pomegranate seeds. Shake well.
  • Pour into your glass and garnish with the mint leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The next drink we have is a Candy Cane Martini. I actually really like a good candy cane martini, so I’ll definitely be making this one this holiday. This recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 2 ounces of strawberry vodka
  • 4 dashes of white crème de menthe
  • 2 1/2 ounces of cranberry juice
  • Ice
  • 2 candy canes (One whole, one crushed) for garnish

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is rim your glass. This recipe didn’t say what to use to wet the glass so just use whatever you want, but make sure you coat the whole rim. Then dip the glass in the crushed candy cane, making sure it’s evenly coated.
  • Then take your cocktail shaker and add ice. To that add in your strawberry vodka, white crème de menthe and cranberry juice. Shake well.
  • Pour into your rimmed glass and add whole candy cane to garnish.
  • Serve and enjoy!

The second to last cocktail we have is Partridge in a Pear Tree. And this recipe makes one drink.

What You Need:

  • 2 ounces of pear vodka
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce of simple syrup
  • Champagne
  • Ice
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs to garnish

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is take your champagne flute and place a fresh rosemary sprig in it.
  • Then take your cocktail shaker, add ice, and to that add the pear vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake well.
  • Strain that over the fresh rosemary in your champagne flute until the glass is half full.
  • Top with champagne and if desired, garish with smaller rosemary sprig.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And the last cocktail we have is Rudolph’s Tipsy Spritzer. This is a really fun drink and this recipe makes multiple servings.

What You Need:

  • 5 cups of orange juice
  • 2 cups of chilled lemon-lime soda, Sprite is my favorite
  • 1 1/2 cups of vodka
  • 1/2 cup of maraschino cherry juice
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • For garnish, lemon slices and rosemary sprigs

What You Do:

  • The first thing you’re going to do is get your pitcher, then add in the orange juice, lemon-lime soda, vodka, cherry juice and fresh lemon juice.
  • Give that a good stir to make sure it’s well combined.
  • You can serve this right away or you can chill it in the fridge until serving.
  • When serving, once drinks have been poured into glasses garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys make any of these drinks let me know which is your favorite.

Until next time, enjoy making drinks and have fun at your holiday parties :).
