Hi everyone,
Today I’m going to be reviewing a recent purchase of mine, the e.lf. Haute Chocolate Eyes Spice Palette. I did a review of the Haute Chocolate Eyes Sugar Palette, I’ll link that below if you haven’t read it, and this is the companion to it. The Sugar palette is more cool toned and this one is warmer and has some shades that I wouldn’t normally go for but I’m interested to try out.
With this palette you get 15 shadows that are a mix of matte, shimmer and satin finishes.
Starting on the top row and in the left hand corner, the first shadow we have is a really pretty, sparkly champagne. Next to that is a very, very light nude, then a gorgeous pinky/purple sparkle, a lighter red with gold flecks and a light brown.
The second row starts with a chocolate brown. Next to that is a yellow, now when you look at this in the pan it’s a very vibrant mustard yellow but let me tell you, it did not swatch that way. It was patchy and that made it difficult to get an even swatch, this is one of those colors that I personally don’t typically wear but it did interest me and I probably will put it on just to see how it behaves on the eye. Then you have a very pretty light sparkly copper, a medium kind of dirty gold sparkle and an even deeper chocolate brown.
The last row starts with an orangey brown. Next to that is a matte grapey purple, then a very pretty light sparkly pink, a brown-ish gold sparkle and a black shadow that has silver and blue flecks in it, it’s so pretty.
That about wraps it up for this post, if any of you guys have this palette I’d love to know what your favorite looks are that you’ve created with it.
Until next time, have fun creating looks and you can never have too many eyeshadow palettes :).
