The other day I received my November Sephora Play Box and I thought that today would be a good day to go through it. The theme this month is Merry And Bright, so it’s full of products that will make your days and your looks be full of cheer and it even explains in the little pamphlet why each product brings the cheer, which I think is a great idea. The bag this month is the same as the previous couple months. It’s plastic with a snap and lock type of closure, the front is a clear red with various beauty and lifestyle products on it and Play! By Sephora in the middle and the back is white with Your Once-A-Month, Squeal-Inducing Bag Of Amazingness Is Here #SephoraPlay written in red.
So, the first product we have is the Amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner. I’m a big fan of dry shampoo, but had never used a dry conditioner until the other day when I used this. It’s supposed to help in restoring your hairs shine and softness and detangle like a conditioner would. And it definitely does those things. I used it on second day hair and it looked fresher than it would normally. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a dry conditioner. Amika is a great brand.
The second product we have is the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser. This is a 3 in 1 cleanser that has 12 essential oils that are supposed to help soothe, soften and rejuvenate your complexion. I’ve only ever used Philosophy lotion, so I’m interested to use this.
The third product we have is the Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Face Cream. This is moisturizer that starts out as a cream and transitions into a water gel and is supposed to soothe and comfort your skin while protecting it from what they call environmental stressors. I’m intrigued by this and I really like the water gel moisturizers, so I’ll definitely let you guys know what I think.
Moving on we have the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I’ve been using this since I got it and I’m really liking it. It’s a weightless, silky powder that locks in your look and has a matte finish.
Second to last we have the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in 40 Pink Tea. I’m wearing this today, there’s a picture on my Instagram if you want to see what it looks like on me, and it’s a really nice nudey pink shade. It feels really light on my lips, it’s lasted really well and it hasn’t dried out like some matte lipsticks can. I know there are a ton of different shades and finishes in this range and I’ll definitely be checking those out.
And the last product, this months bonus product, is a fragrance and it’s Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. This smells so good and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. It’s very fresh, kind of citrusy and a little floral with woody hints. It’s perfectly balanced and blended and it’s a scent that you can wear year round. I’ve already ordered a full size version and I highly recommend it. If you get a chance to smell it definitely do.
That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys got any of the same products in your November Play Boxes let me know and if not I’d love to know what you did get.
Until next time, enjoy your products, I can’t wait to see what I get next month and if you’re celebrating I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving :).
