St. Patrick’s Day cocktails

Hi everyone,

Today, as St. Patrick’s Day is on Saturday, I thought it would be the perfect day to talk about some cocktails for the holiday. I’m also going to be putting up a St. Patrick’s Day treats post in a couple of days so look out for that. I’m going to be having a little party, so these will be perfect for that. I personally don’t like Guinness, so I’m always looking for a non Guinness drink for St. Patrick’s Day. And with that said, let’s get into it.

The first cocktail we have is an Apple Martini and this recipe makes one drink.

What you need:

  • 2 ounces of vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces of sour apple liqueur
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Green apple slice to garnish, optional

What you do:

  • Take a cocktail shaker and fill it 3/4 of the way with ice cubes then add the vodka, apple liqueur and lemon juice.
  • Cover and shake for about 10-15 second and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with apple slice.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Next up we have a Lime Margarita, always a favorite, and this recipe makes six drinks.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of gold tequila
  • 3/4 cup of triple sec
  • 3/4 cup of fresh lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 8 cups of crushed ice
  • 2 tablespoons of kosher salt
  • 6 lime wedges

What you do:

  • In a large pitcher, combine the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Finally add in the crushed ice.
  • In a shallow bowl mix the 2 remaining tablespoons of sugar and the salt.
  • Moisten the rim of the six margarita glasses with a lime wedge and dip them in the salt-sugar mixture.
  • Pour the margaritas into the glasses and garnish with the lime wedges.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Our second to last cocktail is the Irish Mule and this recipe makes one drink.

What you need:

  • 2 ounces of Irish whiskey
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 cup of ginger ale
  • Ice

What you do:

  • Fill a glass or Moscow Mule mug if you have one, with ice and add in the whiskey and lime juice and stir.
  • Top with the ginger ale and a lime wedge.
  • Serve and enjoy!

And our last cocktail is a Bailey’s Martini and this recipe makes one drink.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 ounces Bailey’s Irish cream
  • 3/4 ounce of chocolate vodka
  • 3/4 ounce of caramel vodka
  • Cocoa powder and mint leaves for garnish, optional

What you do:

  • Put the Bailey’s and two vodkas in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.
  • Pour into a martini glass and garnish with the cocoa powder and mint leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy!

That about wraps it up for this post, if you guys have any drinks/cocktails that you love for St. Patrick’s Day let me know.

Until next time, enjoy your drinks and have a happy St. Patrick’s Day :).
